I stayed here as part of a tour group. We arrived around 4 in the afternoon, dropped off our bags and went out to see the sights, arriving back around 8pm. We were flying back to Istanbul in the morning and I asked for a 4:30am wake up call (translated through my tour guide). The desk clerk looked confused, but the tour guide said it would be ok. ||||The room had a shiny flat screen TV on the wall. There was no phone, which I didn't notice until the morning when my back-up alarm went off. The bedding was sparse, and the blanket smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathroom had an open shower, with some exposed wires and a hair dryer both dangerously close to the shower head. ||||During the night, the electricity went off several times. At 4:30am when I had to get up for the flight, the electricity was off, and I had to use a flashlight to get ready to go. It is located in the city centre, with many open markets, shops and restaurants nearby. The stuff consists only of men (and a woman cleaner-the typical turkish grandmother) who are kind and helpful. The rooms are cosy and tidy, with drawings and colours that have you think of Turkey's glamorous past. Just bear in mind though that some rooms have an outside bathroom and I think some of them also share a bathroom. Also, the breakfast is not worth talking about-there isn't a great variety of things to choose from, it is rather standard, but does the job. The rooms are comfy and reasonably priced. ||||I arrived late and stressed from a difficult trip and retired straight to my room after checking in. It wasn't long before I got a knock on the door and a nice hot cup of turkish tea served with a smile.
