Grand Oral Hotel — Hotel in Fatih

I had stayed in this hotel for 8 days last August. In my opinion, the value for money is perfect. Since it's considered as a low-budget-hotel, I can affirm that it offers respectful services. The staff was acceptably polite. The rooms were cleaned almost daily. The breakfast is acceptable for that price. The most wonderful strong point is the amazing location of the hotel; it's located in the heart of Fatih district, in a busy neighborhood where you can hang out and walk around even at a late hour without being afraid. The Yenikapi Metro station (the most important station in the whole metropolitan network of Istanbul) is just 2 min away (you should just walk over the bridge to cross the main avenue). For those who seek shopping, for those who are coming alone without guided tours, it's certainly one of the best options with this interesting price! If you are looking for a place where you can sleep comfortably at night and eat well at breakfast, I highly recommend this hotel. Note: the elevator needs some reparations... THIEFS.||||Stayed here for 3 nights. The amenities are okayish. I have left $200 on the bed with all my belongings. I think you can get the end of the story, money were stolen. The only access to the room was the cleaning ervice, which were 3 women in one tiny room. Obviously, none of them confess, hotel management is also playing the outsider role in the whole story.||I would say that by saving money and staying here, I've would have rather stayed at Hilton.||So here is the famous Turkish...

We went out of our way to go the carvery lunch in the Oriel , having seen many ads recently. We went into the restaurant at 2pm .....nobody serving and one girl working the whole room. We asked if lunch was being served and she told us that " Yes " , and to take a seat. We sat and sat and sat ....and nobody came near us. No sign of food , or chefs , or menus.
