This hotel is newer from the outside and parts of the inside, but definitely has some work to be done.
One of the most inexpensive hotels we’ve ever stayed in our life at $30 per night in March.
But still, I wanna tell you the honest truth about their rooms and the buffet : at first, I got room 105 on the first floor and it didn’t have a view out to the street just next to another building and I had bars in the window. It felt safe, but it definitely looked sketch. I was able to move to the top floor room 302. It had a beautiful view of the streets down below and markets. The problem is you can hear every single sound every conversation every dog bark every car up until around 4 AM. That’s when it gets quiet. Had to sleep with the window open because the AC did not seem to work.
Also, because the elevator door is metal every time somebody comes onto the floor you can hear it bang because it’s kind of heavy. This was extremely annoying at all hours of the night.
At least for my room in 302 There’s water damage all over the room walls From cracked walls to peeling wallpaper, and the bathroom smells like mold, if that door is closed it’s absolutely disgusting when you walk in. They should keep the window and that door open before people arrive. It’s absolutely disgusting. I didn’t see Physical mold some black corners tho so maybe that is it, I didn’t wanna put my face close to it to get a better look… I wear shoes in the shower at all times and kept the door open. The shower is very hot. It’s very nice.
Take a look at my pictures to see the reality of the rooms because they look good on the outside, but I made sure to show you what it looks like in reality.
Also, not sure if this is a rat trapper in my room, but it was very concerning. There was nothing inside it and there was no mice or rats around, but why would you leave this here??
The breakfast is absolutely disappointing. There’s some hot food, but it did not look appetizing to me personally there’s more bread, no cucumbers, not enough veggies. I literally would just have olives and bread. Other hotels have more variety.
Overall, this was the cheapest place to stay so we can have more money to spend on food elsewhere, it would take some convincing, but I would probably stay one more night here. Make sure I was really tired to...
Read moreHorrible location! I have chosen this hotel because it was relatively cheap and very close to all local sites, but that was a mistake . First of all, the Pictures on Expedia around the hotel are blurred, why? Because it is literary a local market around. As a man I felt fine, but my wife couldn’t walk normally there, she felt unsafe! So, if you here because you trying to save some money on the hotel, don’t do it , it’s not worth it. There is definitely a better options! By the way when I made a reservation (3-4 months prior to my travel) and then 30-40 minutes later changed my mind, because found better option, I was told that it’s not refundable. Okay, what about the hotel itself? I was given the smallest room I have ever seen!!! It was maybe 3 meters in length, we could barely walk there! You know the best part? Room didn’t have a window!!!!! Water from the sink sometimes was orange! The first day there i asked receptionist, is there something we can do about window, and he said yes, comeback in like 1-2 days I will give you a little bigger room. When we came and asked 2 days later, I was told , that I will get different room only if I pay more 😂. I had reservation for like 22 nights, but after 4 days there we couldn’t stand that place anymore, some we left to another hotel and then only came back at the end to check out and pick up some stuff. Overall would not recommend to...
Read moreSo impressed with this tiny but mighty hotel! Highly recommend it for anyone staying in Istanbul for the first time. It’s a budget friendly 3-star option with clean rooms and bathrooms. For a bargain price you’ll have your hot shower, AC, clean bedding and towels. We loved their breakfast too - they have fresh veggies, olives, cheeses, bread, coffee, some coffee cake and other things, you won’t go hungry. The hotel staff goes above and beyond to take care of you. I left a comment about a personal situation in my expedia booking and they gave me a call right away to arrange the room for us the way we needed it. Prime location for sightseeing- a few minutes away from the tramway station, walking distance to the most prominent cultural objects in the Old City and right next to the transit to go elsewhere. The street it is located on might look just a little sketchy in the evening but it is a safe place to stay, we felt very comfortable here. So happy I chose to book a room here, it’s exactly...
