GÜVEN KISMET FISH HOUSE 1986 — Restaurant in Fatih

The fact that this small waterfront located restaurant, based in a fish market, got only 5 stars from hundreds of customers really drew our attention and made us curious. Conclusion: best fish and seafood ever (after 12 years of going to Greece for this kind of culinary experience) All fresh, tasty and the fact that we could choose from a large variety of fish right from the market really completed our experience. The waiter was really nice and welcoming, advised us in the direction of best meeting our needs and gave us complimetary tea and desert at the end of our meal. We had : stuffed mussels, oisters, best hummus ever tried and stew shrimps as appetizers and a delicious large sea bass split in two, really juicy and tender. You could taste the freshness in every bite. Because of its location far from the touristic area (though you could easily get there by BN1 bus, from Eminonu), the prices were fairly affordable. Our experience at fish Restaurant was absolutely fantastic,We enjoyed fish soup, shrimp in butter, and fried anchovies, which were the best I’ve ever had in my life. The flavors were exceptional and truly unforgettable. What made the experience even better was the professionalism, friendliness, and calm demeanor of the staff. Compared to other restaurants we’ve visited in Istanbul, this place stood out for its top-notch service and welcoming atmosphere. If I could rate this restaurant more than five stars, I would do so without hesitation. Without exaggeration, this place deserves a Michelin star. This place was a real discovery to me: a nice location with the sea view, a fish market (one of the places I always try to visit during my trips). It seems a great idea to have a restaurant located right in the fish market, so that you could try guaranteed fresh sea food, especially if you don't have a place to cook it yourself. "Güven kismet" has everything the seafood lovers can dream of - a most skillful chef, whose dishes are like masterpieces ( I tried three dishes here, and I would have eaten more if I had had more space in my stomach :))); the service (the waiter, Selim, was very polite and professional), the design, authentic music mixed with the sounds of the seagulls, which helps you enjoy the food and get the vibes of the place.
