Beso Restaurant Bistro — Restaurant in Fatih

Firstly, during our 8 days self-travelling, this is the best of the best and tastiest restaurant we’ve enjoyed among Turkey. We were warmly welcomed and served in the beginning by Mehmet. He helped with passion and was super nice and friendly. Any request, he will try his best. Ex. Like mixing 3 meats in Claypot kebab but this wasn’t shown in the menu. Also helped us where to buy the best and not overpriced Turkish tea. Many local info was provided by him.

Food: Most importantly, during the 8 days travel in turkey, this was the best food we’ve ever had in Turkey. Everything was so fresh and big portion also super tasty!!!!!! Yummy!!!!! Each cuisine we WoWed!!!!!!!! Really enjoyed and most importantly, we were served with passion. All the meat was so fresh and very well cooked. Just right that point. We will say this is the best of Turkish restaurant for us. Trust me, you will never want to miss the food in here.

Service: You must meet with Mehmet, he was super friendly and passionate and he knows when the best to talk to you during the meal and he was aware not to always interrupt customers. It was just right. Very comfortable communication and time with Mehmet. We will definitely come back for the food and you!!! We love you!!!

Language: We communicated very fluently with Mehmet in English, so...

This is my first time in Istanbul. I did my research for all the highly rated Turkish restaurants near my hotel, and Beso was one of them. Me and my wife decided to give it a go on the first night. We chose an outdoor table, and the staff there recommended the huge plate of kebab to share between 2 ppl (around 220tl) and lentil soup. The soup was great, and the kebab was excellent. There were all sorts of meat including different parts of chicken, beef, lamb, eggplant and plenty of potato wedges. All (and I must emphasis that ALL) the meat were nicely flavored and surprisingly tender. My wife is usually very picky about food and for once she didn't complain about anything that night. It was a great time having dinner there and part of this was due to the funny conversations with the friendly staff there who decided to gave us free apple tea and desserts. I was expecting them to free just the first two cups of tea but ultimately they didn't charge for any of the 8 cups of tea I ordered (yeh we love apple tea). I must thank the staff for the great experience...

The decor is slightly different here with multicoloured chairs and a water feature on one of the main walls, as well as great background music - from Spotify playlists! We both started with the calimara which was lovely and tender in a light batter and this complimented by a very nice house red. For my main course, I had the steak with a mushroom sauce which the waiter said was sirloin but definitely seemed to be fillet. The steak was a perfectly cooked medium rare and was amazingly tender and just melted in the mouth, definitely up amongst the best steaks I've ever had. All of the waiters were very friendly and chatty without being overbearing and it was a great meal. The cost for 2, with starters and main courses with 75cl of wine was just under 270TL which was...
