Worst experience I had in Istanbul in the 3 years I went together with my friends. The restaurant itself is quite nice and with good music. Food prices are acceptable and the quality of food is basic, not very good but also not the worst. However, the service was HORRIBLE! The guy serving us was initially nice and helped me with my order but when it came to pay the bill the show started. I asked the bill and I wanted to pay with € not TL as it was our last night in Istanbul. The tips was already included in the bill so I intended to only pay the bill as it was with no additional tips. When the guy saw there was no additional tips he came back with the money and bill and asked us 100TL for music, I told him this is unacceptable as the music is there to attract customers and not to ask for additional money. I had 10€ more in cash so I gave it to him as I said let it be, at least he helped me with my order which I got wrong. We were a group of 40 people and when the others started to ask for their bill, apart from the 100TL asked to every body he also added on one bill the backlava the restaurant offered to all of us. That was the point I told him there is no f* way I will let the others (which could not speak English) pay for something no one asked for and almost all restaurants in Istanbul I went offer cay and baklava from their side. He tried to fool me but it didn’t work out so he took the cost out of the bill and get even angrier. More issues happened with others of our group. Long story short, un unbelievable bad service! I will never go back and will share our experience with who ever of our friends intents to visit the...
Read more*Avoid Avoid Avoid Where do I start. We decided to give this place a try the night we arrived as it was next to our Hilton hotel, ended up visiting twice a day for half a week, for breakfast & dinner.
Soon realise that they try to extort money by charging for extra things, or even OVER CHARGING.
English cup of tea, which comes with milk as a standard, they charged £1.50 for the tea, & £2 for a glass of milk.
The daytime manager walks around like it's his dad's place, and needs serious training on how to manage a business of this size, as well as training on people skills. I was very disappointed to see how he spoke to most of his staff in front of us, especially one of the waiters who was extremely nice and helpful with regards to the menu and local information on the area as we were extremely cautious having it being our first time in Istanbul, resulting in the young girl walking away crying.
I was asked by one of the other waiters in this establishment why not many British people visit Istanbul, and in a nutshell I now understand why, they have no interest in catering to English people, 99% of locals don't understand english so communication for the simplest of things becomes extremely difficult, with turkish & the arabic language taking priority and due to this communication problem & them knowing your not a local, they try and rip you off at any given chance.
Kind Regards

Read moreIt was my second visit to Istanbul, this time with a large number of family. This place by far had the best food quality and portion sizes, most attentive and smooth service as well as the most amazing atomsphere out of all the restaurants we visited. If I visit again, I will surely come back here!
When we arrived, they gave us the option to sit outside which had halogen heating and was nice and warm but they also offered us private rooms where the baby could sleep without being woken up by the music. This was ideal for us all and plenty of space to seat 9 people.
The food was freshly made, on time, had enough variation to meet everyone's taste buds and everyone was happy with the food. Well presented and full of flavours.
The service was immaculate and staff always payed attention to our needs. The staff were very polite and respectful.
There is lovely decoration in the building, the building itself inspired by what seems to be ottoman royalty. Music was ambient and upbeat. Not too loud or disturbing.
A couple of us stayed later to talk and have some dessert, drinks and they also have shisha/hookah available.
The final bill was priced similar to where we come from in the UK for the number of people, but each item was reasonably priced for the establishment - we had a previous place overcharge on some items - this place was actually cheaper for more food!
10/10 - above our initial...
