The rooms are not like they appear on the pictures displayed on the website. The room i was given had 1 electrical plug, it was next to the bed, and it stopped working the same night i got in the hotel. I asked for it to be fixed. They said the following day the technician would come. The following day i got back at night from a long day and again, the plug was not working. I reminded them again. The following night the plug was still unserviceable!! When i got back and brought this up they changed my room after sending one of the guys at reception up tho the room to see if he could fix it. Ridicoulous! The previous night i had also brought up to their attention that the heater was not working either, and when i got home the following night i told them again and the guy who tried to fix the plug also pretended to have a look at the heater itself, clueless. When i got to the other room there was no extra pillow in the closet, which i needed as i had just undergone a hair transplant operation. When i called them and asked for one i was answered they will find one. 20 minutes later (i was exhausted as i had had a long day under the knife!) i called again! When 10 minutes later the same reception guy came to knock on my door he asked me: ''Problem?''... AargGhH!!! I pointed at the pillow and indicated with my fingers ''2''. Did he come back with 2? Of course not! Inimaginable. What a pain. The people at reception speak English but show very little intent to understand your needs. The facility is not as portraited on the pictures. Facility are low in quality - no shower curtains! Just a shower stand!! I do not suggest anyone to ever stay at...
Read moreWe were sold this as a 4 star hotel, on checking it says 3 star, but more importantly, it's run down and should probably only be 1 star, 2 at a push! The room (a double) was tiny - one side of the bed against the wall. The fridge smelt when opened. The bathroom had signs of mold. We were woken after midnight by water dripping in the bathroom, over the shower, but through the ceiling - like a shower of its own. The stains we'd seen and photographed earlier suggest this is a common occurrence! The breakfast was ok on first appearance, but actually the fruit and veg was browning and drying/shrivelling. On our second morning I would say that the same fruit and veg was coming out each day, which raised my concerns over the eggs, meat & cheese too. The drinks dispenser for juice wasn't touched in the 3 days we rode out - and the orange was empty and needed cleaning out/refilling.
Just don't stay here unless it's a really budget hotel you are...
Read moreWe stayed at this place during the month of April 2014. This hotel is conveniently located on the Ti̇yatro Caddesi̇ street, some 300m down the small hill from the main Ordu street and Bayazit/Kapalicarsi tram station. ||We stayed for 6 nights and paid 300 euros per room.||Also, hotel is located within walking distance from the main city attractions like Aya Sophia, Topkapi, Sultan Ahmed Mosque (about 25 min. walk).||Hotel has a small dining area on the roof so you can prepare your own meal (breakfast) while sitting at the top of the building watching the city. Rooms are rather small… equipped with a fridge and TV. The area around this hotel seemed safe and we didn’t feel uncomfortable getting around the hotel any time day or night. ||There is nothing fancy about this place but worth...
