Highly recommended spot! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was by far the best meal we had in Istanbul! Came here for dinner on our last night after walking through most of Kumkapi and it was a great decision!! We had the Tiryakii special, tomato soup and fish with soy sauce as mezes. The bread was perfectly toasted, which paired beautifully with all the mezzes.
They will bring out a large tray of mezes for you to choose from but with no pressure to pick anything, if you don't feel like it and want to order from the menu instead.
We also had çig kofte, fried red mullet, and a dessert. The fish was super fresh and not the slightest bit oily. The çig kofte was seasoned with a balanced blend of spices and was so tasty, I'm dreaming of it again while writing this.
This place is much more affordable than most other restaurants in the area, with good sized portions too! The staff were kind and helpful, and the owner speaks perfect English and German! Thank you for a...
Read moreMy very first turkish experience about Istanbul is dinning in this restaurant. All the food is prepared in a very detailed way, not only the presentation of the food (from appetizer, main dish to the dessert) are all colorful and rich, and provide me a sense of Turkey , and more important, the taste is amazing, I am especially fond of the dessert (too bad that I forgot the name), but the taste and the texture are perfect combination, and the taste is just just heaven :P. Many people told me that now is not the best time to come to Turkey, but I found it perfectly safe to travel here as a female solo travel, just keep basic cautions and common sense , it is totally fine. I am so glad that I didn't miss Turkey (especially Istanbul, I have been traveling for two year and this is one of my most favorite cities in the world) and you shouldn't...
Read moreSurprisingly great seafood restaurant in the neighbourhood! It was our last night in Istanbul and I really wanted some seafood and Raki, this was really close to our hotel so we came relying on the good reviews - and very much enjoyed it!
I had a grilled sea bream that was well cooked and tasted very fresh, my partner isn’t a huge fan of seafood so he had kofte which was also very good. People would worry if it’s a tourist trap in this area however they were very genuine, the raki is also similar prices to the Asian side (the less touristy area), no hidden costs or anything. During our meal a boy came and tried to sell us roses, one of the waiters saw and asked him to leave us alone - which we felt quite relieved that we can eat in peace! Would...
