Terrible impressions. I had breakfast and was in bed all day because of a cold, my friend and I decided to have dinner somewhere and came across this place with good reviews. We placed an order and began to wait. We saw how they already brought the order to those people who came 15 minutes after us and I understood that something was going wrong. I asked the waiter where my food was, the waiter asked his colleagues and for some reason everyone started to avoid our table, and I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and I know this can only mean is that they screwed up. Instead of apologies or anything else, we were simply ignored. When we decided to just get up and leave, because an hour had already passed, we were assured that in 5 minutes everything would be ready, I stayed for my friend, because she really wanted to try eggplants, but I no longer had any appetite, even though I was very hungry before. Because I know that when they start cooking quickly, it always turns out badly, I have worked in this area and I know it very well. I didn't expect any super service from this place , but when they realized that they had made a mistake, they could simply bring tea and apologize for waiting + give the approximate time of the dish being ready. These are simple things, but it would greatly improve the situation, instead we were ignored until we decided to get up from the table. At the very end I decided to take a look at this shashlik and the meat was raw inside, what was expected :) We sat in the cold for an hour and a half, got raw food and a bad mood. But my friend liked the eggplants and the only plus was that they didn’t take money from us,...

Fairly typical hailing on the street for my partner and I to come in. But a bit different in that the (suspected) owner laid out that he offers free salad and bread and that the prices are true to the menu. He was also very jovial in a relaxed manner.
We could see on the menu that prices weren't a tourist trap and fairly costed. Had a nice light dinner and they even threw in Turkish tea and baklava for free (Which is fairly common it seems in Istanbul but is still nice all the same). The price was as he said.
We had such a good time, that the next day we took our friends here as well. Again the food and atmosphere was lovely and casual. We did get asked to write a review for some baklava this time (as it seems to be standard of most restaurants in Istanbul) so my friend did. But I am writing this review out of appreciation as there are too many other restaurants that do nothing but scam tourists.
Worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood and want some fairly...
Read moreWe were very pleased with our visit to EnBaba Kebap! We ordered chicken shish kebab, lentil soup, and grilled vegetables. All the dishes were very tasty: juicy meat, rich and flavorful lentil soup, and aromatic, well-prepared grilled vegetables — everything left a great impression.
The main dish — chicken shish — was perfectly cooked: tender meat, well-seasoned and delicious. The plate also included bulgur, grilled spicy green pepper, and sliced onions with spices.
In addition to the main course, we were also served small side dishes — acılı ezme (spicy tomato paste), fresh and pickled cabbage, and pickled cucumbers. These were included at no extra charge.
The staff were polite and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and pleasant. The prices were a pleasant surprise — lower than in many other restaurants, while the quality of the food and service was excellent.
We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious Turkish cuisine in a...
