I’m extremely disappointed by the way I was treated during my recent stay. I feel completely scammed by the hotel receptionist regarding the hot air balloon activity.
I only asked for information about the activity and the price. I never confirmed or requested a reservation. Despite that, the receptionist later claimed that they had already booked the activity for me without my consent. I was then forced to pay for an activity I never agreed to and didn’t even participate in. To make things worse, I was met with a rude and disrespectful attitude when I tried to explain the situation.
It’s completely unacceptable to be charged for something I didn’t use, based on a conversation that was clearly only meant to ask for details. What I got when we try to reasonable with them is “ there’s nothing to rewatch on security camera because you have to pay anyway, by cash or by card ? “ seriously it’s really frustrating to hear this but finally we have to pay since it’s time for us to flight back.
I strongly urge future guests to demand everything clearly , Don’t rely on verbal since they will twist the truth as they want since we are foreigners. Always make it 100% clear whether you’re asking for information or making a booking.
This has been one of the most disappointing and upsetting trips I’ve ever had not because of the destination, but because of the hotel’s behavior. I paid extra money for nothing and was treated with disrespect. This experience has completely...

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed and attended to our every need. One of the highlights of our stay was the spacious family room we were given. It was not only clean and comfortable but also well-appointed, making it a perfect home away from home for our family. The room featured a functional toilet equipped with a bidet, which was a lovely touch that added to our comfort. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent water pressure in the shower. After a long day of exploring the stunning landscapes and unique attractions of Cappadocia, nothing felt better than a refreshing shower with great water pressure! The hotel’s serene atmosphere, combined with its beautiful surroundings, made our stay all the more enjoyable. We appreciated not only the cleanliness of the room but also the attention to detail in the hotel’s amenities. All in all, the Garden Suites Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Read moreI was happy to find a fantastic hotel in Goreme that is not a cave hotel. I love the hosts' hospitality. I believe they are a family run hotel, which add a lot of personal touches to the experience. Location is great; it is at the edge of Goreme, away from traffic and crowd. As of May 2023, the surrounding road and neighborhood were under construction. Still drivable and walkable, but expect bumpy roads and unexpected closures at times. I did not see a parking lot, but there are street parking that are free. Breakfast were great. They serve the typical Turkish breakfast. I wish the breakfast starts earlier; they serve starting 8 am. With the early summer sunrise, I would have loved to be on the road by then, so a 7am breakfast would have been much preferred. Great view of the surrounding landscape and hot air balloon from their rooftop. The room is equipped with heater and AC. There is also a heated towel rack. At times, the room can feel damp, so I open the windows whenever I can to help ventilation. Good room amenities. The bathroom/shower can be a bit slippery when wet (due to flooring material). Godly water pressure!
I will consider staying here again. Far better experience and value that some overpriced cave hotels...
