He was incredibly kind and welcoming, taking the time to teach us how to throw clay and letting us paint our own pieces even after hours. His patience and enthusiasm made learning the art of ceramics so much fun!

As if that wasn’t enough, Süleyman even offered us homemade wine and traditional Turkish tea, making us feel like family. His warmth and friendliness created an atmosphere that was more than just a workshop—it was like being welcomed into his home.

We were so lucky to find this particular potter! He was the only one who offered a workshop that took us all the way to the painted, finished product. The master potter guided us through the shaping process, and you could immediately tell he had decades of experience just by watching his hands work magic. He helped us shape our pieces with ease and grace. The whole session was incredibly relaxed and fun. But the best part was when we got to the painting stage: he brought us hot Turkish tea! An enjoyable local experience with Suleyman, a local with 20+ years of experience in pottery. We enjoyed having a brief go at making a pot with under his guidance and had taken the option to return the following day to have an amateur's go at painting our 'self made' vases. It is advised that patrons who wish to have this option return 5-6 hours later if one would like to paint the product. The boss will gladly glaze the pot after painting and this can be collected the following day. So, consider allocating 1-2 days for the experience.
