We loved our stay in Osmanli and highly recommend this place to family and friends! First of all, prior our holiday, communication with the hotel has been an absolute bliss. I was able to book our hotair balloon with ease. They responded quick to my messages and answered my questions in detailed.
Upon arriving to the hotel, staff came to help with out luggages straight away. Checking in was hassle free and the lady in the reception was so helpful to give us information about other activities we could do and booked it for us.
The only little down side is probably the stairs. Our room is in the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. However, the staff carried our luggages so its not really an issue. The room is clean and spacious. The bed is big and the beddings are superb! I love how the room feels modern yet have still a classic cappadocia feel to it.
The breakfast in this hotel is amazing! Probably the best breakfast we had in Turkey. Lots of pastries and bread options, juices, fruits, coffee, tea, cheeses and best of all they offer eggs to order, how you want it cook.
The staff are amazing and so helpful. They go above and beyond to provide the best customer service. They even packed us breakfast on our check out because we checking out early and we will not be able to have breakfast before our flight. They even gave us an evil eye amulet as a thank you for staying with them. This is such a nice gesture and I will definitely stay again in Osmanli and will recommend to family...
Read moreGreat location to see the balloons at sunrise and easily drivable / walkable to/from city center and tourist spots. Staff are nice and helpful, they even suggested activities and food places for us to try.
We had minor issues, not a big deal to us but worth knowing:
the air conditioning is not cold enough even though it’s set to the lowest temperature, we would occasionally open the windows in the evening to let the cool air in internet is slow, so probably not suitable for remote working room can feel dark in the evening, the side lights had no switch accessible from within the room, so we couldn’t turn them off when we go to bed unless we take the key card out (which will then switch all electricity off including the ac). We believe the hotel staff switched them off on our last day from central control as we asked about it.
The staff has kindly provided us with towels to use when we wanted to use the pool, but since it is not heated, we didn’t use it.
The breakfast was amazing, with different egg options - boiled, scrambled, I think you can also ask for fried egg. There’s salad, bread that you can have toasted, french toast, pancakes, fruit juices, etc. It wouldn’t been better if they have fresh and not instant coffee, but what they offer is generous enough.
There’s no lift, it’s about 4-5 flights of stairs to get to the breakfast area and terrace to see the balloons or just hang out with your coffee/tea.
It is a comfortable stay overall, and would come...
Read moreThe gentlemen who checked us in, Haki was extremely arrogant. We checked in early at 10am but was no expecting any room but wanted to leave our bags. His smile was insincere to start. He proceeds on to share all the various tours happening and asked us our interest. I mentioned we have booked balloon tour. He asked how much we booked it for with an attitude. I replied "Affordable...... about 60-70 Euros". He replied with such arrogance and judgmental tone "Oh i am not sure about that offer, i have never heard that company" All because I didnt opted for his 100Euros balloon tour? A good offer does exist, but maybe not in your country Haki. Maybe Haki needs to be more well versed in customer service and learn from his staff. Maybe be more open-minded when talking to people from other countries?
Having left the hotel/customer service line after 10 years, my level of patience is pretty high. But I was very close to punching his face. We stayed for 3 nights. 1 of the days, he was at the breakfast area just lurking. No mention of good morning greetings at all.
On a brighter note, the 3 stars i gave was to Seda, Bilal and all the cooks behind the breakfast area, and the housekeeping lady for the extremely welcoming and friendly smiles. Special thanks to Seda for the hot water offered when I had a coughing fit in the lobby.
Oh, to HAKI. I have attached a photos of us friends on the balloon by Skyway Travel. EXTREMELY RELIABLE AND...
