The hotel is centrally located and the staff is trying to be helpful as much as they can, those are the only two “positive” things I can say about this hotel. We booked a room at another hotel online and when we arrived, they said that their system “lost our reservation”. The owner, I guess, was there and told us that he has another “more luxurious” hotel not too far from there that’s why we ended up at this hotel. This guy said that they were very sorry, and usually this other hotel is a bit more expensive but because of what happened, it will not be for us. “More luxurious” would not be the words I would use. The toilet was not flushing properly the water was always running after flushing, the staff came many time in our room to try to repair it, but no real success, the the floor was cracking due to the fact that the hotel is old and everything looks dirty, there was no pressure in the shower, the handle of the bathroom door is loose, it fell out many time, I asked for the wifi password and the guy made me scan a QR code to give me access to the lobby wifi which was not working from our room because we were in another building, the windows are so thin that we can hear the people walk outside, not mentioning the scooters and the cars. I had hear plugs and can still hear well the noises. We ended up sleeping for max 2h. At 2:30 am, someone rang at our door and as we could not lock the door properly, we didn’t answer the door, a few seconds after, the phone rang to ask us question because they had something wrong in their system … at 2 am … are you kidding me … Honestly, it was one of the worst hotel I ever been in my life and we finally ended paying more money than the original one we booked at the other hotel. We are REALLY disappointed. I DO NOT...
Read moreI have visited Istanbul several times and this so-called hotel was the worst experience I've ever had for an accommodation. It seems that this place wants to cut corners in every possible way. The most terrible part was the old bed on which I could not sleep at all and eventually had to sleep on the floor. The WiFi was not working either. The shower room was outside the room (This had not been mentioned before thr booking) . On top of that, the staff were particularly unfriendly. Upon checkout in the morning, the reception guy was in such a bad mood that kept mumbling all the time. You have to drag all your luggage to the upper floors by yourself (and of course there is no help from the grumpy staff). Do yourself a favour and stay away from this place. İstanbul has many decent...
Read moreIt consists of 4 floors. Entrence level, 2 floors above and a basement. The rooms at the basement have no windows and they smell humidity. I stayed at the top floor and it was good. The whole building is wooden, from sixties or seventees i believe. So if you are not sleeping at the top floor there will always be some risk of upstairs neighboors walking in the room and you hearing footsteps. Windows are oldschool, you need to pull them up with two hands and place the thingy below to hold it up. Decoration is quite nice, makes you feel like you are at the older decades. Very central, at the heart of Kadikoy, 5 minutes walking to ships, 3 minutes walking to subway and 20 mins walking to metrobus. Staff is very kind and helpful. Suggestion would be not to expect a quiet sleep since...
