The food here is genuinely good, nicely plated, and prices are fair for a sit-down place. Portions are divided on request, mussels were tasty, and we were even offered complimentary tea. Staff were friendly and not pushy, which I appreciated.

Unfortunately, the payment process left a bad impression. We initially paid at the counter in cash, but later when the final bill came the first portion of mussels seemed to have been charged a second time. The cashier who took the first payment was absent, and without a printed receipt it became impossible to prove. I truly hope this was just a mix-up, but it left the service side feeling unreliable.

I was asked to write this review by the restaurant because I really enjoyed the food, but these are my honest thoughts. I was a bit overwhelmed my first day in Istanbul, and that too Kadikoy. Everywhere I looked, everyone was recommending me this Turkish restaurant that caters to tourists, but I wanted a different experience and I found this restaurant on google maps. Coming from a country where I don’t eat seafood often because it is normally fishy and not flavorful, this restaurant was such a nice change of pace!
