This hotel is a great option for those wishing to absorb both the local and historical charm of Kastamonu. A well-cared for old family house, this hotel can accommodate you easily if you are not expecting large, modern rooms. The rooms are traditional with wooden floors and ceiling, lovely shuttered windows with embroidered curtains and big comfy bed. The bathrooms are small but clean, en-suite and modern. The staff is friendly and very helpful and the hotel has their own carpark. On the weekend, they open their breakfast buffet to the public which means the breakfast, served in the garden, is more like a huge luxury brunch buffet to which you are invited to sit are relax for as long as you wish. The food was all made in-house and incredible. I had a little bit of work to do before our day of sight-seeing but it passed easily sitting and eating such a...

Read moreI had a wonderful overnight stay in this beautifully renovated hotel with my mother and son. Had the best sleep in the spacious room with wooden floorboards. The room had a view of the castle. The breakfast was brilliant - I say that after living in Turkey for twenty years and having stayed at many luxury hotels. The owners and staff obviously took special pride in the hotel, its history and antiques. The rooms were tastefully decorated. The bathroom wasn't up to the standard of the rooms in terms of decoration, but was perfectly modern and everything worked. ||The hotel is near to the clock tower, beautiful Governor's Office building and the museums. The neighbourhood is a typical Turkish neighbourhood with gives it the air of authenticity. I thoroughly...
