Dated but Manageable!
This BEST WESTERN property comes with genuine strengths but also some noticeable inconsistencies. The hotel is situated in a prime location near Kaleiçi (Old Town), making it incredibly convenient for exploring Antalya's historic attractions, bazaars, and waterfront areas. The building itself has a modern feel with 135 rooms spread across multiple floors. What immediately stood out was the rooftop terrace pool offering sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding mountains – truly spectacular. However, the hotel does feel a bit dated and tired. Overall, it's a solid mid-range option if you prioritize location and don't mind the lack of luxurious vibes or a fresh feel.
LOCATION: The location is genuinely excellent – I could walk to most major attractions within 5-10 minutes, including the Old Bazaar and historic Kaleiçi district. Trolley and bus stations are right outside, and there's a taxi stand directly across the street, making transportation effortless.
DINE + DRINK: The breakfast buffet was genuinely impressive. Every morning offered a diverse spread with hot options like fresh omelets, various breads, fresh fruits, and well-prepared meat and fish dishes, plus delicious desserts
ROOM: We stayed in Room 801, which was a SUITE Room with a seperate living room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and a lot of baggage; VIEW: Sweet view of the old town and the sea from the cute little balcony attached to the master bedroom; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Very dated bathroom with a super odd BATH TUB shower that was extremely difficult to get in and out of!!! Be warned!; TOILETRIES: OK quality Shower gel and nothing more, so bring your own!
FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights, workout stations, and Cardio machines. They also have a good Swimming pool on site
SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to Mr. GURHAAN at the front desk for enhancing our stay
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! TINY Smart TVs dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment - predominantly in the TURKISH...

Read moreKhan Hotel in Antalya, bought by Best Western, so now called Best Western Plus Khan Hotel, is near the heart of Old Antalya. It sits beside the pedestrianized commercial streets of the city center and just some 500 meters from the edge of Old Town Antalya. Access and parking could be a problem though since it’s a narrow street 3 sk. But everything of historical significance is within walking distance – the Yivliminare Mosque minaret (unofficial symbol of the city), the Antalya watch tower, Hadrian’s Gate, the Old Town Bazaar, Kaleici, and the Attalos II statue. ||The building itself is beautiful, with its creamy façade. The lobby is quite small but the décor of dozens of ceramic birds attached to the ceiling is quite unique. The carpeting in the hallways are unique – they have a beautiful colorful artsy pattern which is picked up by the Greek themed wall posters that decorate the hallway walls just three meters apart. The lower part of the wall posters have colors that pick up the carpet so it looks like the carpet flows into the paintings or vice versa. The fully-carpeted room itself (we had a corner one) is very large, with a very appealing balcony that gives a good 100 degree view of Antalya (we were on the top 8th floor). ||There is a large sofa-bed, across the main bed. Since it was suite-like, we even had a second bed off to the side. Several wall lamps provide a lot of accent lighting. There is a hot water kettle, a coat rack, an electronic safe, and a decent-sized TV with several English language channels which we appreciated. A ref sits below the work desk. ||The T&B is a bit disappointing, since it’s small relative to the room size. The T&B mirror hangs by just a nail – it isn’t fixed to the wall, and the dispenser in the shower is only for shampoo, no body wash. ||Breakfast and dinner is on the R floor (R for restaurant, easy to remember). Food is very good, with a fantastic spread of vegetables – ditto for cheeses. They also had an egg station where you could order omelet (the male omelet maker didn’t look too friendly). For dinner, the kitchen made a great beef stew the first night and beef stroganoff the next night – we loved it! The dinner wait staff were so quick to pick...
