What started as a very pleasant evening with very good food and music escalated to a very unpleasant experience. Our waiter failed to inform us when we took our seats that their card machine did not function (I read between the lines : we prefer cash and everything is fine with our credit card machine). When it came to pay the bill, we had the option to either pay in Turkish Lira (TL) or Euros. As we did not have enough TL, we paid in Euros. The Euro amount presented to us did not match the currency exchange rate and came to a much higher amount which we contested. Our waiter tried to justify the higher amount through taxes they supposedly had to pay. Nothing made sense. I asked him to confirm which currency rate he used for the bill, he was unable to confirm. In the end, he agreed with the amount we left on the table, I.e. €111 instead of €132. A dishonest approach to billing clients which left us with a very bad taste in our mouth. For this reason, I would not recommend this restaurant. P.S.: Another review posted 10 months ago (picture attached) showed other tourists...
Read moreBeware. We should have knew something was wrong when the menu prices are in Euros, not Lira. When we paid by credit card, they converted to Lira, instead of charging in Euros. They converted at a rate of 16.88, when the real conversion rate at that moment was 15.65. In addition, there was a tip on the bill that was not even marked as such and we did not figure out until we got home and did detailed math on the bill (the overcharge was roughly 10%). We have been in Antalya for 4 months and never seen this. It is ok to charge a tip; it is not ok to not mark it on the bill as a tip or advise the customer a tip was added, especially as the customer hands over another substantial tip in cash. Everything was great except for these feelings we have of being taken...
Read moreWhat a discovery¡¡¡ Antalya's view from the restaurant terrace are very impressive, that was a happy first impresión. Later on the waiters were so kind, and we asked for some turkish traditional food: cow meat stew and chiken stew, cooked in the traditional turkish clay pan "güveç", really nice¡. The macarroni with meat was also very well cooked. The turkish yogourt beverage "ayran" a real surprise, ir was home made. The bread was also very especial. Finally two different Chocolate cakes home made, Wonderfull¡ As it is a place of living music in the evening, the music of the restaurant was perfect. Everything a fantastic surprise. Good luck...
