This restaurant was so superior that we didn't go to any other in this city. We went there 5 days in a row for multiple meals in a day. The food was exceptional and price more than affordable. It doesen't have too many vegetarian options, vegan even less on menu. If you ask, they can make you a vegeterian platter outside the menu. It was a huge plate, with rice, fries, various baked vegetables, vegetable sauces, jogurth/ayran, homemade bread, salads. At the time it costed about 10 euros. Images of the vege platter below, plate across the table.
Meat dishes, and deserts are awesome. We ate multiple courses each day for the cost of 1 main dish in other restaurants closer to centre.
Service is great, none of the servers we had spoke english fluently, but we managed to communicate enough to even orded stuff off-menu. The Granny served us the most and she is a legend.
First time we came we got a little fruit platter for free. If we come back, we'll surely eat there again for days on end.
Tea was also exceptional. Most tea places oversteam their tea and it's super bitter. But here it was just perfect. Recommend the...
Read moreThis is a authentic local place with a lovely atmosphere and low prices. We came here on our first evening to have some tea. Otanik Cafe catched our eye as it had lots of plants around it and was always open late in the night. We were greeted by Fahriye, the most lovely woman. She couldn't understand English but she spread such a warm and welcome atmosphere and made all the efforts to understand us. We ended up returning here almost every day of our vacation, sometimes for food and sometimes just for tea. It was the prefect place for us traveling on a budget and always open. But mostly we always looked forward to see Fahriye as she was always so lovely and such a good soul. We liked the food and even with a severe allergy they kept it out of our meals which is everything to us as this safes us a trip to hospital and weeks of illness. We enjoyed our time at this place with all the yummy food, the good tea and Fahriye who lit up our visits. This place truly enriched our holiday so much and Insha'Allah we...
Read moreWe ate at this place when traveling to Antalya in October 2024 after reading the positive reviews. And we are so happy that we did as it truely lives up to the reviews. The owners are a lovely elderly couple who are very welcoming and hospitable. They go out of the way to make your experience good and you can tell they do it from their heart. The service was very quick as well. And the food was excellent, very delicious and very well priced unlike the other restaurants in Kaleici, it was definitely the best during our holiday. After traveling around the province, we came back to Antalya in the end of our holiday for 2 days. Even though Kaleici wasn’t part of our itinerary then, we especially went back just to have food here because it was so good. We definitely hope to visit this restaurant again and to meet this lovely couple again. P.S. the restaurant is in a little alley off the main road but was not too difficult to find with...
