I cannot understand or share the glowing reviews of this hotel, particularly regarding its supposed cleanliness and modernity. Here’s my experience:
We arrived at the hotel after 3 PM, expecting to check in immediately, but the room was not ready. We had to wait until 4 PM. Our family room was on the fifth floor, and there was no elevator. While the receptionist kindly helped carry our luggage, this was just the beginning of the issues.
The room was dirty. While it seemed like the bed linens might have been changed, everything else was far from clean. The bathroom fixtures were filthy, the walls were stained, and the floors hadn’t been cleaned. Within 10 minutes, my white socks turned black from walking on the floor. The showerhead was broken, leaving only the overhead rainfall shower, which flooded the bathroom floor due to the lack of a shower door. Additionally, the balcony door wouldn’t lock.
We reported these problems to reception before heading out for an evening walk. They assured us the issues would be resolved. However, upon returning several hours later, nothing had been done. They promised to fix everything the next day. That night, the balcony door flew open in the wind and wouldn’t close properly. As it was late November and quite cold, we had to climb out onto the balcony to barricade the door with chairs and a table.
The next morning, breakfast was served in a nearby café rather than in the hotel itself. The café’s interior wasn’t particularly pleasant, and while the breakfast was acceptable, it was insufficient—one egg, for instance, would hardly satisfy a hungry adult. If I book a hotel with breakfast included, I expect it to be served on-site, not outsourced. We opted to have breakfast elsewhere the following day, and the hotel kindly refunded us for the unused breakfast.
The reception staff were polite and friendly but ultimately ineffective in resolving the issues. On the second day, the room remained dirty, as well I’ve found an empty bourbon bottle under the bed. By the evening of the third day, the shower was finally repaired, but the balcony door and floors remained untouched. Worse, the bathroom floor was left dirty, with muddy footprints and a filthy towel after the repairs.
This level of neglect and poor service is simply unacceptable. Thankfully, we were checking out soon after, as we couldn’t wait to leave.
The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location—close to a shopping center and within walking distance of Kaleici. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to redeem it. A bad experience is still an experience, but I wouldn’t recommend this...

Read moreI booked the hotel directly via thier phone number on hotel website. As I always do with all my direct stays bookings, I gave the detailed information regarding the dates, estimated time of arrival and, most importantly, the number of my family members. I informed the person contacting with that we are a family of 2 adults and 2 children of 8 and 12 years old. The shock was, after relatively long time registering our data and making copy despite appearing a tired family waiting for a rest in thier room, when the reception guy gave me the key card and took our luggage by himself and asked us to follw him to the 4th floor WITHOUT AN ELEVATOR!!!|We have to go up 4 floors/8 stairs, being very uncomfortable stairs to climbing through. After we saw the situation and the kids and thier mother took a transit break in the midway up, I tried in every way with the receptionist to change the room, but useless! He told me that all the hotel is fully booked. But my reservation was 2 months ago, and they know that we are a family with 2 kids, and the worse matter is that they didn't inform me that there's no elevator there!!!|The receptionist asked if it was not shown to me in advance that they have no elevator, and when I said that no one told that, he started to blame the person who I dealt with for booking. At the end, all what he did was to promise and reassure me that for our early morning check-out at 5:30 am he will be present there and will never let me bring any luggage down by myself, as he did with check-in, and all that conversation was made by the aid of google translator as he doesn't speak english! "Just dial 0 and I'll make the taxi you want for airport to be ready within minutes, and I'll come up and take all your luggage down, never mind".|At 5:15 I called the reception to see that there's another guy in the reception rejecting to show any help with luggages because of being alone in the reception. When I informed him about his colleague promise, all he said was that "my colleague is idiot"! What professional staffs I'm dealing with!!!|This was my big critical issue with this hotel, which is regarding thier credibility, making me to feel like being a trap! This issue made me less cincerned with other negative aspects like the poor cleanliness of the room, specially bathroom, the non-locking balcon door, and the loss of any thing to hang the face towels on it in...
