On the final leg of my 4 month visit to Antalya, I scouted around for a hotel which I felt possessed the range of facilities which would best suit my travel needs. After visiting a number of hotels in the are, I chose to stay at The Qinn Hotel for last three weeks of my stay in Antalya. The reasons for this are as follows. the hotel's location is excellent, not only because of its close proximity to the sea and the stunning views this provides, but also because of its compactness and easy accessibility to local shops, restaurants and transportation links. The second reason is that, in my quite extensive travel experience, I have always found that smaller hotels are able to provide a more personal level of service. With the Qinn hotel, this view was greatly rewarded. From very inviting and extremely helpful Seda, the first person you see when you enter to the hotel, to Semiha and the cleaning staff team she manages - my thanks to Çilem for her continued efforts to ensure my room was maintained to the highest standards and for her very lovely towel designs. Also, the general staff team at the hotel are incredible, notably Melek, Mert and Batuhan, the bar manager, whom I interacted with most. I found them and their colleagues to be very attentive, very accommodating and prepared to go that extra mile. Every effort is made, jointly by the staff team, to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The breakfast, lunch time and evening foods are flavoursome and very inviting, the 'dentist menu' in particular which has been specially formulated for people, like me, who are receiving dental treatment during their staff. My final observation is that it is clear to see that the warm approach given by all the staff to all the cascades down from Gokhan, the hotel's General Manager. It is not very often that senior staff are present, approachable and are seen to be working hard to ensure that the guests receive and enjoyable and very professional experience. Would I stay here again? I have already booked a room for my next excursion to the...
Read moreOkay hotel but there are definitely better. Not really a 4 star hotel even for Turkish standards. It seems as though the hotel can’t accommodate for the ammount of guests it has. Firstly the WiFi is quite bad and when the hotel started to get busier it basically was non existent and I pretty much had to use my data for majority of the trip. Breakfast is basic again I’ve had better in turkey the options are limited and seems like they won’t refill once somethings gone it’s gone especially when it’s busy it’s challenging to get the nice food that’s actually appealing and there’s not enough seats to accommodate the amount of guests bordering off a large section of the restaurant for dinner and lunch which may be because I went during off peak times but felt like I was crammed in with a bunch of people in one tiny section. My room was spacious but the bathroom is tiny which is a downside. It was too cold to be in the pool but when I went past it, it also looked like it couldn’t accommodate the amount of guests as there was maybe 10 loungers with not much space to fit any more. Staff were nice and friendly apart from one lady at the reception who seemed to have an attitude problem. For me the location was not the best as it was very far from the centre and not much to do in the area without taking a taxi but it depends what your looking for in a holiday as it’s right by the sea. Overall an okay hotel but again you can definitely find better for that price point in turkey. (Also pictured on website are a bit over compensating of what the hotel actually looks...
Read moreThe worst hotel experience of my life.|The front desk staff—especially the bald man—was shockingly rude, unprofessional, and downright abusive.||From the start, the hotel itself was in horrible condition. The entire place was filthy, with a disgusting smell of smoke everywhere, and it genuinely felt like the building was falling apart—like the roof could collapse at any moment. The elevator was broken, forcing us to carry our luggage upstairs on our own. Not once did either receptionist offer help. Instead, two women were left to drag heavy bags up the stairs, while the men at the desk sat and did nothing.||When I complained about having to do this alone, the bald man cussed me out in Turkish, loudly, in front of others—thinking I wouldn’t understand. Unfortunately for him, I do know enough Turkish to understand the disgusting insults he threw at me.||The rooms were just as unacceptable. The first had no AC during a heatwave. We were told to “wait 10 minutes” for it to turn on, but after 40 minutes in suffocating heat, I nearly passed out from panic and exhaustion. Only after I said I was about to faint did they grudgingly move us. The second room had a shower with no door, causing water to flood into the bedroom every time we used it.||This hotel is unsafe, filthy, and humiliating to stay in. The staff are abusive, lazy, and have zero regard for guests’ well-being. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place...
