We had a lovely family dinner at Balıkçı İsa in Lara last summer, and it was fantastic! The food, service, and view were all spot on. We enjoyed a great spread of Turkish seafood with raki and loads of delicious mezes. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, constantly topping up our drinks and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed.

A heads-up: you can smoke in the garden, and since most people were, it got a bit heavy. It’s not the best for non-smokers, but if you don’t mind, the atmosphere is still wonderful.

If you’re visiting Turkey, here’s a tip – the Turkish staff are genuinely warmhearted and do their best to make you feel at home, so a little tip goes a long way to show your appreciation. It’s worth learning a few basic phrases like “tesekkür ederim” (thank you) to connect with the staff – they really appreciate it!

And yes, prices have been going up lately, but I was happy with what we paid back then. Overall, Turkish hospitality shines here, and if you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Balıkçı İsa is...

Ok, guys this place is a real scam!!!! We read reviews here which was just bad. But still decided to go thinking they might have changed. But no, the food, the service, the bill, we were scammed everywhere. We have travelled quite around the world, but never received a bill 1.5 times more than what the menu said. We complained, then the guy changed some of the prices on the bill according to menu. We still paid way over what menu stated. And service charge is too high. The food was not seasoned at all. They guy cleared the table while we were eating the last bit (bread in our hand). You could buy a nice dinner in Norway with the scammed price you pay in this restaurant. I would give less than one star on everything. Just avoid this place, unless you got nowhere to go. Good lunch and happy...

I got here around 5pm, so it wasn't too crowded. Despite reading all the reviews and feeling hesitant, I decided to give it a try, unfortunately, it wasn't the best choice. They had prices for the starters and side dishes but not for the main, and of course they tried to scam me as a tourist with the inflated price. The fish I ordered was completely lacking in spice, just bland. I shelled out for a main dish and a salad, which felt steep compared to what I spent at Alara just one day before. It didn't seem worth the money. The view was the only plus point, but even that was spoiled by loud Turkish pop music after 6pm. I'd only consider returning if I were desperate and...
