Uğurlu Konakları - Kastamonu — Hotel in undefined

It is a difficult mission to run a 170 years old mansion preserving the originality and adding comfort to it. Ugurlu Konaklari accomplished this very well to my opinion. I have stayed there twice and both my rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Food is very good, they serve local and continental dishes as well as Aegean metzes. Staff is polite and warm. Area is quiet, just under the beautiful castle from 12th century. Rooms overlooking the street would have a full view of the well lit castle at nights. |Thanks again to all the staff who made me feel very welcomed...

This hotel is really amazing. Very beautiful rooms at old house with nice use of historic elements. The public rooms at every floor are also very well decorated. The price for stay was really good comparing with setting. I got a free parking place in front of the house. Not sure how they organize parking if it's busy. The restaurant has a license so it could be noisy until midnight if you have window to the garden area. It was easy walk to old town. Castle is just next to hotel and has best views at the evening. So it's good idea to drive up...

We enjoyed the quietness of Uğurlu Konakları as well as its proximity to the Castle and to the center of the City. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. The Kastamonu origin local food is very tasty and so are the "meze" (the starters that would go well with Turkish raki or wine, etc. The premises has a nice garden perfect for warm summer evenings and of course a number of indoor areas for cold winter days and nights. The owner Gülsen hanim is an ex tourist guide and therefore understands and communicates well...
