Stayed here for a few days before visiting friends on North Caicos. We found it to be very quant and comfortable. These are owner condos that are apart of a rental program. We found the main floor units to be the best as they had their own direct access to the pools and beach. The restaurant on site was great and the food was delicious. The frozen drinks were great but the other cocktail were so so at best. I ordered an Old Fashioned and it was whisky and water…the beach was 10/10 and the swimming was unreal. Lots of room to sit and no competition for seats. To get to the main part of Grace Bay you can take a shuttle to the sister Ocean resort. Everything is walking distance from there. The shuttle is literally a 3 minute drive. If you walk resort to resort it’s 15 minutes. The rooms were large and very comfortable. Full kitchens with all the amenities of home. Our room was 8103 and we loved it. Not all rooms are furnished the same as they are owned but ours has these gear lounge chairs in the screened in sun porch that we used often while relaxing. The pools were good but nothing like some of the other places…that said we spent most our time at the beach. No swim up bar while we were there. It sure if it’s offered. Wasn’t a priority for us so it didn’t matter. All in all we would definitely recommend it.

This resort is beautiful and at a great location. The grace bay beach on property is gorgeous and the water is so blue and clear and some of the prettiest water I have seen. Our room was very nice and spacious with a kitchen and microwave and washer and dryer but definitely on the older side. The property is older and does not have elevators so if it is hard for you to go up and down stairs I don’t recommend this property for you. The pools are all very clean too. One of the negative things about this property and Providenciales area is the service. It was very hit or miss. The servers at the beach bar restaurant on property were really rude and rolled their eyes when I emphasized my allergies. But then expect a big tip and look over your shoulder and hound when they bring out the bill. It’s ridiculous. Also the food is extremely overpriced on this property for the quality. This property has a free shuttle back and forth to their sister property ocean club wear, however, you can’t use their pool or beach. So what’s the point of it being a sister property? I thought that was strange. I really loved the ocean and pool at this property but I don’t think it’s worth the bad service and unpredictable treatment.

We had paid extra for a room with an "ocean view", which certainly was a disappointment (see pics ... 1st is sitting down, 2nd standing). The room was very clean and the kitchenette was well equipped. We were placed in building E which was a blessing as the Cabana has live music three times a week. We ate four times at the Cabana and enjoyed every dish, the grouper was super (see 3rd pic). Used the bicycles and the courtesy shuttle to visit off-site restaurants and a grocery store. It's an easy 7 minute walk from OC West to get groceries (cut to the right from shuttle drop off). Make sure you have on hand a few dollars to tip the driver/staff, who were all very helpful and friendly. The fitness room is well equipped and I used it daily. Guests tend to "claim" the beach chairs well before they actually plan on sitting at the beach, which we found a bit obnoxious. Also we noticed that multiple tour/excursion boats will run up onto the beach next to the nearby pier, so no need to worry about getting on a tour boat from OC East. Overall we enjoyed our eight night stay at Ocean Club East and would probably rebook, but just not pay for the "ocean view".

We stayed at this resort for four nights in early May. Here are some of the pros and cons of our experience:

Pros: The room was clean and well-appointed, with a comfortable patio area. We appreciated having a washer and dryer in our unit, which was very convenient. The property itself was well-maintained and visually appealing. We also liked the fitness center. All the equipment was in good order and it was comfortable to work out.

Cons: We had an unpleasant experience at the on-site restaurant by the beach. When we asked for two waters with our dinner, the taste was terrible. Upon questioning the waitress, we were informed that the water was "purified," but even the locals avoid drinking it. This raised concerns about why it was being served to guests. Both of us experienced stomach discomfort afterward, which we believe was due to the water. While we were advised to purchase gallon jugs of water from the on-site store (which were reasonably priced at $2.50 each), it is disappointing that a four-star resort charging over $400 per night does not provide safe drinking water to its guests dining at their restaurant free of charge. I am not sure if this was a ploy for the guests to have to purchase bottled water.

Another major issue was the behavior of some (well most of the) male staff members. They made my (modestly dressed) teenage daughter uncomfortable by looking her up and down in a very disrespectful manner, even while we were standing right next to her. This behavior made us feel unsafe, to the point where we didn't want her to walk to the bathroom alone. One male housekeeper, in particular, was leering at her in a very unsettling way. This was unacceptable and deeply concerning.

Overall, while the resort had some positive aspects, the issues we encountered significantly...

I wanted to like the resort but unfortunately a few things fell short. Let's start with the positive!! The bellmen and front desk staff are great and super helpful!! Also Kevin, who is a part of their beach crew and helps with water sports is amazing, super courteous, and knowledgeable about the island! Now for the not so positive...the resort is in need of some upgrades and a bit of repair. Our room had a couple issues such as: the ice maker didn't work, one of the burners on our two burner cook top didn't work and we had an ant problem in the kitchen area. We did call and let the front desk know and they sent maintenance right up to take care of everything. The maintenance guy did fix the burner, put down some ant trays ( since I didn't want him to spray toxins around our food area) and replaced the ice maker. Unfortunately the ice maker still didn't work and the traps weren't very effective. In addition, the restaurant on the property was greatly overprice and the food was underwhelming. The resort is quiet and family friendly but other than the beach and pool/grill areas there isn't much to do in way of activities on the property. And the closest things to do, which is shopping, in walking distance is about a 15 min walk (you could take the shuttle to their sister property since it's closer to shopping or bike there) but if you want a locale in the middle of everything, this property wouldn't be the best choice. It kind of gave us the impression of a senior living...
