Real review on Aziza.
Back story: it’s a Friday night and I wanted to bring in my birthday with great vibes, good food, and good drinks. That did not happen.
When we arrived we were seated and our waitress did not come by for about 20 minutes. We had to ask another employee who our waitress was and if we could order. After about ten more minutes our waitress finally came by. She did not ask if we had any questions about the menu or if it was a special occasion; just asked us what we wanted with a dry attitude.
We finally got our food an hour after ordering. I order the shrimp pasta and my partner ordered the chicken tenders with fries and the lemon pepper wings. Overall, my partner said the wings were good and the best part of his meal. Mine, was not good at all. The pasta was so bland, the shrimp tasted overcooked, and I maybe ate three bites of it. A man that I believe to be the manager came by, asked me what was wrong with the food, and apologized and took it off the bill; which I appreciated. It was never my intention to get it taken off the bill, but I was thankful that they did take it off; as I did not eat any of it.
After this encounter, a lady that was not our waitress came by and insisted we pay and leave. I later learned she was another server, who we had not seen at all that night. I’m severely confused, because although I did not like my meal I still wanted to get a dessert and drink and celebrate my birthday coming in at 12am. She told us that the tab was closed and we could not order anything else, even though we had not paid and we had 30 minutes left on the table. It came across to me that because the pasta was taken off, they felt like we were trying to get off on paying for the food.
Overall, the atmosphere/music was good. Definitely a good vibe for drinks after dinner or if you need somewhere to go to hangout/dance. It will be packed packed, so if you go; go early to get a good standing spot. Do not go here for dinner, the food is not good and is definitely overhyped. Even the people around us did not like their food either. The staff are rude and seem to care more about you leaving then giving good service/making you feel welcome.
Aziza needs some work, and I hope they pay attention to the reviews...
Read moreThis place has strong potential to be great. I went for my birthday dinner, and the only thing we enjoyed was the presentation they offer when bringing out the cake. They have sparklers, a birthday song, and the waitresses dance. The food lacked a lot of flavor, and the waitresses were just flat out rude. When they set my fish down, I had to ask for the flames, which comes with the dish because I did extensive research! Any question or request my party had was met with unnecessary attitude and it made us uncomfortable. Never came around to refill waters. The moment they set our dessert down they informed us that we had 5 minutes to “wrap it up” as they must prepare for the next table, and this also affected our dining experience. The bill came, and I simply informed the waitress that the side I ordered never came and to please adjust. The manager was already on stand by and on guard, took the bill, adjusted it as if he already knew it was wrong, gave it back, didn’t even thank us for coming, just worried about collecting payment. We had a budget set for tipping all waitstaff generously and we just couldn’t enable such behavior. The pattern will just continue if we do, and others will be treated poorly! I hope they can learn that customer service is the most important part of the experience, more than your “celebrity status”. Next time will definitely be at...
Read moreWhere do I begin with this place. My friends and I visited the Aziza lounge it was my first time and I was very much excited to try a the new spot in the turks & caicos islands. My friends arrived before my Fiance and I and they were having drinks and hookah at a round table next to me, as I could not bare the hookah I sat an empty table beside them which was pointed out by our waitress, who was lovely and attentive, 15 minutes after sitting down a male server came over and asked if I wanted him to move the table up, I stated no thanks that my friends are right next to me and he offered to wipe the water off caused by the condensation of the drinks. 2 minutes later this guy came over rudely telling me to get up I did not have a reservation and he wants the table. I was so appalled and upset and stated that he could have asked nicely, he demanded me to get up as he was the owner, my partner who was standing behind me told that we should leave which I agreed. So after spending over 500 on overpriced drinks & hookah I was disrespected by owner for table, which literally 5 minutes later there were lots more empty, table. I told a my friends who a few well-known local and expats to island and they we shocked. I would never visit that...
