When we reached at the premise, Moin, the bell boy greeted us with a smile. He is very helpful, friendly and cheerful. He took our stuff and brought directly to the floor where our room is.

We stopped at the lobby in Andaz. It is spacious and amazing. We were greeted by Sami in the reception. He offered us with complimentary drinks (I like the hibiscus tea) and dates. I could not stop eatingšŸ˜… It’s nice to chill with such a very good ambience plus the comfy seats in the lobby.

Everything in the room is pleasing to my eyes and city view even complemented it. The only things that I noticed were: dental kit is upon request, we asked for extra bottle of water but I think the service rep (lady) forgot to take note of it that we did not receive the water, a not so good smell in the room (smell of a wet carpet), it’s tolerable but of course, we expect more for a 5 star hotel. We tried calling 0 to ask when we’re going to check out but it’s been 15-20 mins and no one answered my calls. So, me and my friend just decided to leave the room with all the bags in our hands.

*The bath tub is invitingšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ The pool water is crystal clear but it’s too hot for me to swim and divešŸ˜…

At night, we visited the bar at the pool side, Rayana. It is closing at 11:30pm (an hour before we came), we decided to go out of the hotel. The kabayan in charge is friendly.

The breakfast- this completed our stay in the hotel. ARUP, the one who served and assisted us is soooooo nice. He never got tired of our requests, he is responsive and friendly. The food is yummy and there were plenty of selection. Thanks to Chef Roy.

One of my top criteria in giving high rate whenever I visit the hotel is its people. I would say not all of the staff there look friendly and approachable. Some won’t even find time to look at the guests as they are busy with their work.

Again, thanks to Moin, Sami, Arup and Chef Roy. Few crew during the buffet were also helpful including the F&B...

Unfortunately, my experience with Manager Flu at Andaz Hotel Abu Dhabi was far from welcoming. Despite providing all necessary identification, Manager Flu informed us that they couldn't be accepted as 2 IDs were expired (keep in mind that they’ve expired less than 2 weeks ago and we didn’t know that that was the case), insisting we return to Dubai due to this minor issue. When we offered digital copies of our passports as an alternative, the response was dismissive and condescending, suggesting that we shouldn’t waste more time as no other hotel would accommodate us.

This attitude was particularly disappointing as a seasoned traveler, having stayed at prestigious hotels like The Edition without encountering such rigidity. Manager Flu's implication that we were being untruthful about our experiences was both offensive and unprofessional. In what world would a manager of a hotel say phrases like ā€œWhat you’re saying is not true.ā€ and ā€œNone of your businessā€ among other unprofessional phrases!?

In contrast, the Ritz Carlton, just minutes away, demonstrated exceptional service, promptly accommodating us over the phone without hesitation. Their understanding and willingness to assist stood in stark contrast to the treatment received at Andaz. Since we made the booking over the phone while sitting and the lobby of Andaz, we informed the receptionist and the manager that we were able to find a booking in a place with much better service and they said that that is illegal and we should educate ourselves on local law. Absolutely disappointing response coming from a manager.

In summary, Manager Flu's lack of respect and inflexible attitude left a lasting negative impression, prompting us to seek...

First stay in Abu Dhabi semi-failed | Expected more.

Stayed here from march 2-6 since I attended the MEFCC. Wanted a diff hotel chain but since they got fully booked I decided to give this hotel a try since it’s also a 5 star hotel which has good reviews as I’ve seen here.

!! WHAT I DID NOT LIKE šŸ‘ŽšŸ»

• 800+ per night is okay but it doesn’t live up to its price, 5 star rating & comfiness. The room is okay, pillow is too soft, hurts your neck when you wake up - can’t have a good night sleep (am not usually picky with pillows)

• SHOWER HEATER is so annoying, i’m not sure if it’s faulty but it sucks. It changes from hot to cold to hot to cold again even if you’re not touching it. Contributes to waste of time as you have to move away as it’s TOO hot.

• Bidet LEAKS every time you use it, wets the floor or your legs when you use the toilet.

• (might be my preference) They can choose a better freshener, the orangey/taxi smell like, super made me unrelaxed which is the total opposite of what I want after a long day of attending in a convention.

• blinds near the bathtub glass divider ā€œdoesn’tā€ work at all. Tried pulling the other string and the other one, expected it to work but didn’t - just hate it when they put something there but isn’t working.

Positive stuff

• The breakfast was great, staff and service is amazing. Even the atmosphere is relaxing, I think this is the only thing I liked here

•Staff in the whole building is very respectful which is great as it will make or break your day.

Conclusion.

Can improve in the aspects I mentioned. Not worth 5 stars. Their restaurants...

We recently stayed at Andaz in Abu Dhabi , and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a modern yet comfortable ambiance that immediately made me feel at home. The reception lobby is somehow I can relate like a massive kitchen with a huge kitchen island that plays as the front desk table. It has literally huge coffee machine and on the sides it has also a welcome drinks and some dates to offer for free. The receptionist was outstanding her name is Hagar. She’s welcoming us with joy in her heart. Though our rooms are 1 king bed and suppose to be a another queen bed but they don’t have anymore available anymore they offered us the twin bed but not bad coz the rooms are connecting as well. The hotel’s amenities were top-notch. I made good use of the fitness center, which was well-equipped and clean. The spa was also a fantastic experience, offering a range of treatments that left me feeling rejuvenated. The location of the hotel is ideal, situated "in the heart of the city, close to major attractions, restaurants, and shopping areasā€. It was easy to explore the area and return to the comfort of the hotel. Overall, my stay at Andaz AUH exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, this hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality accommodation in Andaz Capital Gate, Abu Dhabi.

Capital Gate, also known as the Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi, is a skyscraper in Abu Dhabi that is over 160 meters (520 ft) tall, 35 stories high, with over 16,000 square meters (170,000 sq ft) of usable office space. Capital Gate is one of the tallest buildings in the city and was designed to incline 18° west, more than four times the lean of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The building is owned and was developed by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company. The tower is the focal point of Capital Centre. The structure rests on a foundation of 490 pilings that have been drilled 30 meters (98 ft) below ground. The deep pilings provide stability against strong winds, gravitational pull, and seismic pressures that arise due to the incline of the building. Of the 490 pilings, 287 are 1 meter (3 ft 3 in) in diameter and 20 to 30 meters (66 to 98 ft) deep, and 203 are 60 centimeters (24 in) in diameter and 20 meters (66 ft) deep. All 490 piles are capped together using a densely reinforced concrete mat footing nearly 2 meters (6.6 ft) deep. Some of the piles were only initially compressed during construction to support the lower floors of the building. Now they are in tension as additional stress caused by the overhang has been applied.
