AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!!!

A Comedy of Errors Disguised as a Hotel Stay - Never Again!

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I sensed disorganization, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how downhill things would go.

I arrived at 6 PM, expecting the room to be ready (as any guest would). Instead, I was asked to wait “5 minutes” in the lobby z- by a very crowded reception - which turned into a 35-minute delay because the room was still being cleaned??? When I finally went upstairs, the door was wide open, with cleaners still inside who awkwardly left the moment they saw me.

Then came the shocker: No toothbrush. No slippers. Not even a robe. And no, they don’t provide them, they sell them in the lobby for 5 AED each??? What kind of hotel doesn’t offer basic amenities unless you pay for them???

I was on a work trip and had a meeting with my team inside the hotel. After returning from one, my room card didn’t work. I had to go all the way back to reception to fix it, as there was no staff on the floor to assist. Turns out, the card was never activated properly in the first place???

The bathroom? Disaster!!! The water wouldn’t drain properly, I ended up showering ankle-deep in dirty water!!!

The room was unbearably hot, and when the AC finally kicked in, it sounded like a jet engine and filled the room with a strong moldy smell. I actually had to choose between suffocating heat and mold exposure. Lovely!!

Next morning, I went for breakfast… and waited to be “verified” as eligible to eat. Why that takes several minutes is beyond me???

The restaurant smelled awful, a blend of burnt oil and something foul. The croissant and hash browns were dry, clearly days old, and the cheese tasted spoiled. My toast? Thrown to the back of the counter until staff realized the tray wasn’t inserted properly!! Two employees fiddled with it while I stood there, hungry and confused!!

Later that night, I dared to order room service: a salmon poke bowl. After a 40-minute wait, I was served... a salad with random ingredients, no rice, no ginger, wrong dressing (they sent ceaser salad sauce!), barely any salmon, basically a sad bowl of confusion. When I complained, they sent rice and ingredients separately in tiny bowls (check photos attached) apparently asking me to “add them myself” to the failed dish???? As if that wasn’t enough, the staff literally waited at the door asking me to return the tray on the spot. Who does that in an hotel????

This was, hands down, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. It felt like a crash course in what not to do in the hotel business. I came for rest, comfort, and service. I left tired, frustrated, and deeply...

Dear friends at Centro Capital Centre Hotel,

I don't usually leave reviews for hotels, but I just had to point out how pleasant and comfortable my stay was and is currently at Centro Capital Centre, so that my experience is shared with the public to keep into consideration for future bookings and stays.

I have met a staff and team member from every department at the hotel ranging from the front office to housekeeping to facilities/amenities and even back-office individuals such as sales, etc. and in my unbiased and candid opinion, with complete clarity and honesty each member showed and dealt with me in the utmost respect, , the highest level of professionalism, friendliness, and hospitality characteristics you come to expect from such an esteemed hotel group.

Keeping in mind that Centro Capital Centre was an option I considered firstly for a few nights, but after I noticed how well I was treated and how other guests were treated as well, I have gratefully chosen the hotel to be my long term stay or what I like to call as "home". It just has a very homely feeling that I think everyone will love. Food, stay, location wise, amenities, all seem to add up to the experience as well.

I would like to take a moment to thank the entire staff and team members I have dealt with so far and for the management for keeping a consistent high level of standards of stay at the Hotel. The hotel is a 3-star hotel but honestly, I feel it deserves a higher star rating based on the satisfaction and experience I am going through.

Special thanks and gratitude to the following team members: Mr. Thahir - Back Office whom without his referral I wouldn't have met such a great team, Mr. Radin - Front Office Director, who always wears the fanciest suits and keeps a positive image of the hotel due to his and his team's professional attitude constant support and care in the highest regard for me and all guests, Housekeeping assistant manager Mr Pankaj for always looking after my room and wants and his team including Mr. Navindu for always following up on my requests and ensuring my room is perfect, Ms. Minuka for her great consistent work, Mr. Main - Lifeguard for his friendliness character, professionalism, and high regards to responsibilities, and Engineer Mr.Tayoub who maintained my room. Last but not least, a special thanks to the Complex Manager Mr. Karim, due to a great management of team and dedicated training for the entirety of the staff.

Looking forward to my pleasant future stay for the next several months,

Sincerely...

I have been working on a longer term project and have stayed at Centro Capital Centre on a regular basis.

The hotel services my requirements and have no complaints about the property as a whole or the rooms whatsoever.

The staff are always friendly with a genuine willingness to offer guest satisfaction.

I have a condition called Coeliac Disease which makes eating without the fear of cross contamination, extremely challenging. On this visit, I sourced my evening meal from outside the hotel and explained my condition before requesting the use of a plate from Rajesh in the C.TASTE Restaurant.

This request is not granted as standard yet Rajesh kindly delivered my request and was clearly well versed on the delicate need of Coeliac sufferers.

Once back in my room, about 10 minutes later I received a knock on my door. Rajesh had gone beyond his call of duty and not only sourced but had Gluten Free loaf of bread delivered to my room as to ensure no cross contamination of the product as it was still in the manufacturers packaging.

This quote by Maya Angelou sums up my experience.

"People will forget what you said, people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

Rajesh, you truly are an asset to Centro Capital Centre and the finest ambassador for guest service and satisfaction and a wonderful human being and I cannot express my sincere gratitude for the awareness of my condition and the service you delivered without being asked.

Thank you again Rajesh, I will see you...
