Desert Safari Dubai — Local services in Dubai

I was very sceptical of this trip as the price was so good. It turned out to be a very good outing.

First up... Quad biking - ended up with 30 minutes of blasting around a play area. Loads of room to have fun at speeds managed by yourself. 2 of our party members were a little worried as they were in their 70's but seemed to enjoy it.

Next... Dune bashing - Ismail Shaban (our driver) was a great driver. We had loads of fun with a few funny noises coming from the rear of the car (mother-in-law). Ismail stopped in some lovely photographic places and took loads of pictures for us on his own camera. I think he must have been a photographer in his past life as they were very good. Part of dune bashing included about 30 min of sand surfing. Good fun but tiring climbing back up the dunes afterwards.

Next... Camel Ride - Very short visit that included sitting on a camel and a short walk. Enough time to appreciate what it was like.

Finally... Evening Food and Show - Lovely finish to the day. Selection of food incl. BBQ, Drinks (soft drinks and water was free) and dancing. Daughter got a Henna tattoo.

Driver/Tour Guide Ismail our driver made the day very enjoyable and did a bit of bartering for us when needed. Whilst quad biking, pictures are taken but we refused to buy them. Ismail managed to get them for us without telling us. He gave them to us for free at the end of the day. Ahmed ensured we felt safe during the thrilling activities and gave us plenty of tips to enjoy every moment. His passion for the culture and knowledge of the desert added a personal touch that made this tour stand out.

While the activities, and cultural performances, were fantastic, the food at the campsite could use some improvement. The buffet lacked variety and the flavors felt somewhat underwhelming, especially after such an adrenaline-packed day. With some enhancements to the menu and preparation, the dining experience could match the high standards set by the rest of the safari. Primarily the snacks being stone cold was a real let down.

From the moment Hassan, our skilled and friendly driver, picked us up from our hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. The drive to the desert was smooth and full of excitement as Hassan shared fun insights about the area.

The quad biking experience was an adrenaline rush like no other! Zooming over the golden dunes, surrounded by endless desert views, was an absolute thrill. But the real highlight was the safari ride—an adventurous rollercoaster on sand that had us laughing and gasping at every turn!

The desert camp was pure magic. We got to ride a majestic camel, which was such a surreal and cool experience. The camp itself felt like stepping into an Arabian Nights story. The entertainment was top-notch, with mesmerizing performances, and the food? Delicious! With a wide variety of dishes, free-flowing drinks, and even shisha to relax with, it was the perfect way to end the day.
