We recently visited Seven Sisters in Dubai for the Saturday sundowners brunch, and while there were certainly some positive elements, the overall experience left us disappointed, mainly due to the limited food portions and slow service.

To start with the good: the food we did receive was generally lovely. The sushi was fresh, and the salmon in particular was delicious. The guacamole was also tasty, but unfortunately, these items came in portions far too small for a table of six. For example, we were served a single sushi platter and one small bowl of guacamole with a few chips enough for about three chips per person.

When we asked for more food, we were told several times that it was coming. We asked the waiter multiple times (at least four to five), but it didn’t arrive. I eventually spoke to someone at the front desk who assured us someone would come to our table in ten minutes. After twenty minutes passed, someone finally did come but I still had to follow up again to get the issue resolved.

The main course was equally underwhelming: each person received one skewer two prawns, two chicken, and two beef skewers total, along with a single small bowl of fries to be shared between all six of us. When we asked if it was possible to get more, that request was not fulfilled either. It was particularly frustrating to look around and see tables of two people receiving the same quantity of food as our group of six.

We had also noted in advance that we were celebrating a birthday and requested a nice table. However, when we arrived, we were given a table set for four with two low bar stools added clearly not ideal. While someone did eventually move us to a more appropriate table, it was disappointing to feel like our booking hadn’t been properly considered.

Lastly, if you’re considering going for the premium drinks package, be aware that the cocktails are all pre-mixed and bottled not made fresh, which really takes away from the brunch experience if you’re expecting high quality beverages.

Overall, if you’re going for party vibes and a few drinks, Seven Sisters might be a fun option. But if you’re a foodie or looking for a satisfying, well-organized brunch experience, this may not be the place.
