This was my first visit to Dubai, and I was admittedly a bit apprehensive about the experience. However, from the moment we entered Lapita Resort, we were warmly welcomed, and all my worries started to fade. We were greeted with garlands, which was a lovely touch, especially for the kids—they absolutely loved it!
Arrival and Check-In
The reception area is beautiful and welcoming, although it could use a few more staff members to handle the initial rush. Once at the front of the queue, however, the process was smooth and efficient. Just a note for future visitors: don’t forget about the UAE tourist tax when checking in.
Half Board Plus Package and Amenities
We opted for the Half Board Plus package, which offered an impressive drink allowance. The kids were delighted by the daily lollies provided, which were much appreciated in Dubai’s intense heat! After check-in, we took a short buggy ride to our room. These buggies are a fantastic service, running from 10am to 10pm and providing convenient transport around the resort. They’re a lifesaver for families and guests with special health needs, especially in the heat.
Accommodation
We stayed in a spacious family room, consisting of two adjoining rooms—essentially double the space, beds, and amenities, which was perfect for our family. The setup was incredibly comfortable and provided everyone with plenty of room to relax.
Dining at Kalea Restaurant
The part I was most concerned about was the food, as I can’t do gluten or dairy. My worries quickly disappeared, though, thanks to the attentive staff at the Kalea restaurant. Special shoutout to ASMITA at the front desk—she has an amazing memory! She remembered my dietary requirements and even our room number every time I approached. Once seated, ZAIN greeted us with a cheerful smile, while MUJAMMIL AHMED and TAYEF ensured we had everything we needed and promptly cleared our table. I also have to thank Chef RATHEESH, who was both attentive and understanding of my simple, easy dietary needs. He quickly learned my preferences and made sure I felt safe with every meal, allowing me to enjoy my holiday without any worries. This level of care and attentiveness from the entire team made all the difference.
Facilities and Activities
We made full use of the pools, which are essential for cooling off during the day. I found that spending time in the water during the hottest hours and heading out in the late afternoon was the best way to tackle the heat. The resort also hosts live shows and events, including dance performances, which added to the fun atmosphere.
The Hardworking Staff
The resort is stunning, but it’s the hardworking staff that truly makes it shine. From the groundskeeping team working tirelessly in the heat to maintain the lush surroundings, to the pool staff, and the front desk team assisting with luggage—all of them were consistently friendly and smiling. Seeing them do all this in thick uniforms, while I was melting in the lightest clothes I had, was awe-inspiring. Their dedication and warmth transformed Lapita from “just another resort” into an exceptional experience.
Final Thoughts
While Dubai itself didn’t particularly capture my heart, the team at Lapita Resort certainly did. They created such a comfortable and enjoyable environment that I was happy to spend most of my time within the resort, with only occasional short trips outside. For a first-time visitor to Dubai, Lapita Resort offered a memorable, relaxing experience, thanks to the outstanding service and attention to detail from the...
Read moreWe’ve just returned from 8 nights at Lapita Dubai Parks and Resort and had a wonderful experience, it was a great combination of fun and relaxation. I would highly recommend this place for a family holiday. ||I travelled with my husband, 2 daughters (age 10 & 8) and my in laws to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. As soon as we arrived we were treated to a friendly and warm welcome. The service and attention from the staff was outstanding, as soon as they learnt of my husbands birthday they went to extra lengths to ensure he had a lovely experience. A big shout out to Tsion and the team at Ari restaurant who decorated our table with birthday banners and brought him a beautiful floral bouquet and cake at the end of our meal. Also special thanks to Stephen at the pool bar, Regina at Hakini, and Zain at the breakfast buffet for their friendly manner, professionalism and excellent customer service. They all went above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed throughout our stay. ||We stayed in a family room which was spacious and well appointed with a lovely pool view. The beds were very comfortable and the black out curtains meant our children slept very well. Housekeeping replenished our towels daily and decorated our bed with birthday banners and flowers which was a nice touch. ||The food was beautiful, there’s so much choice at the buffet restaurant which we visited daily for breakfast and once for dinner however we preferred to visit Ari and Hakini for our evening meals as we prefer a more relaxed al a carte dining experience. The sushi rolls and Korean wings at Hakini are absolutely delicious and the dynamite shrimp at Ari was a personal favourite. ||The access to the parks from the resort was what first attracted us to staying at Lapita as we wanted to make sure our children were entertained and they didn’t disappoint. The parks are spotlessly clean, so quiet and well maintained. We were able to walk onto most of the rides without any queues and the kids and adults thoroughly enjoyed all the parks especially Motiongate as it helped us to escape the heat. The buggy shuttles to and from the parks was speedy and regularly, we never waited more than 5/10 minutes for a buggy to take us home. ||The pools and lazy river was clean and quiet (it did get a bit busier at the weekend with locals visiting but it never felt crowded and there were always plenty of sun-beds and space for everyone) ||My children visited the Tiki house one afternoon to escape the heat. They made some friendship brackets which we did have to pay for but they enjoyed the activity as they were both tired that day and wanted a break from the pool. They also went to the main kids club and enjoyed a face and hand painting session. ||Overall we had an excellent time at Lapita. The only thing missing is evening entertainment. We usually travel to European resorts so we’re used to a kids disco and evening entertainment however as the hotel is so quiet I’m not sure there is much demand for an evening entertainment schedule. ||Although I understand and appreciate the bars are open all day, we would appreciate a later bar as we often didn’t eat our dinner till late so it would have been nice to chill out afterwards and not feel rushed to finish our drinks. That is a very minor quibble as everything else was brilliant and we would definitely consider visiting again in the future. ||Thank you for a...
Read moreA magically memorable stay at Lapita! :)
We recently spent a staycation (May 21-22,2025) at Lapita as a surprise post-birthday and graduation treat for my son, and an early Father's Day present for my husband & we couldn't have chosen a more amazing place!
I first tried booking through Booking.com, but I also had a few questions and so called Lapita's own hotline. I spoke to Mr.Philip and Mr.Ismail, who were so kind, patient and knowledgeable upto details. They answered all my questions, held my booking and even accepted a rebooking after I had to cancel when my son became unwell. Their customer service and professionalism, top high!
On the day itself, I surprised my family with the trip. We arrived at 2pm, 1 hour before check-in time and I was worried that we wouldn't be checked in yet. To my surprise, everything went smoothly. Since the time we arrived, the exterior and grounds of the hotel had us in awe. The Hawaiian theme of the hotel was calming and refreshing at the same time. We were welcomed right away by a friendly employee who volunteered to help with the luggage and brought us to the check-in counter named Hawley. As we walked along the lobby, we were entertained by a Hawaiian performance and even given flower necklaces with warm smiles from the staff a lovely staffs. When Mr. Hawley saw that there was a queue at the reception, he very kindly brought us to another counter where Ms. Karen, a fellow Filipino (Kabayans pride!) warmly welcomed us.
She and Mr. Hawley made our check-in easy and enjoyable. They offered early check-in, congratulated my son, and answered all of my questions patiently and nicely. As first time guests, it meant the world to us. To our surprise, a golf cart shuttle gave us a mini tour of the resort and dropped us off at our building named, Ilima 3. The surroundings were peaceful, very clean & family-friendl. Truly a relaxing escape. Our room was massive with a huge balcony, and settled only on ground floor, even has direct access to the pool, which my son absolutely loved!
Even more than that, the room had a lovely surprise: balloons, a stack of birthday cakes two pieces of cake with super delicious cake and "Happy Birthday" and "Congratulations" messages. The personal details made us feel so special.
The pools were a dream come true!!! from the lazy river to the kiddie and family pools, we all had a blast. Room service was also efficient and fast when we needed something. The breakfast buffet, massive spread of teas, coffees, juices, pastries, hot foods and desserts. All fresh and delicious!!!
One of the best perks? Dubai Parks access was included in our stay and outlet village is just closeby. It contributed to the excitement and value of the trip. We went straight to Motiongate after we checked-out.
We are already saving up to stay there again :) maybe next time to try their private villas for a larger family gathering! From the car park attendants, lobby staff, reception, buggy drivers, housekeeping and lifeguards. Each and every staff member we encountered were warm and welcoming. Special mention again to Mr. Hawley and Ms. Karen for going the extra mile to make our stay special.
100% recommend to everyone.....!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LAPITA is a dream for family fun and relaxation. Don't miss this...
