Beachcomber – a flawless coastal haven ★★★★★
I’ve clocked up more B&B nights across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland than I care to count, yet Beachcomber in Tenby now sits unchallenged at the top of my list.
Hosts Sharon and Andrew redefine hospitality. Warm, genuine, endlessly helpful, and visibly proud of their craft, they keep the house spotless and running like clockwork.
Rooms
Immaculate, contemporary décor
Whisper-quiet at night – I slept a record-breaking 14 hours after a long-haul flight
Dream-soft mattress, high-thread-count linen, plump cushions
Thoughtful extras: mini-fridge, quality toiletries, fast Wi-Fi, proper blackout curtains
Breakfast A benchmark Full English: grease free bacon, top-tier sausages, poached eggs with runny centres, plus fresh fruit, yoghurt, and an encyclopaedia of teas and coffees.
Vegetarian? Covered without compromise.
Location Three-minute stroll to Tenby’s walled town, beaches, and harbour. Park the car at the Beachcomber exclusive parking spots and forget it.
Insider knowledge Sharon is a walking guidebook – Caldey Island ferry times, secret coves on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, the best hour to catch the lily ponds glowing at Bosherston.
Bottom line Faultless comfort, peerless breakfast, hosts who treat you like old friends. Book without hesitation – Beach Coma is everything a B&B should...
Read moreThis isn't actually a review of Beachcomber - it's a thank you to Sharon and proof, for anyone looking to stay there, that she's incredibly helpful.|Long story, but I'd booked to stay at another B&B in Tenby and they badly let me down (ignoring 3 emails and 5 phone calls requesting confirmation of my booking), leaving scrabbling around, looking for a B&B with just 3 days until my trip.|Spoke to Sharon on the phone, who was super helpful. She couldn't offer me a room at such late notice (my booking would be over a weekend), but said all the local B&B owners knew each other and were in a WhatsApp group together.|She promised to come back to me, if she could find someone with a room (and recommended particular places that were good).|True to her word, she messaged me back, having found me a room at Ashby B&B - telling me to ask for Lisa when I called.|I did just that and - last minute - got myself a new room.||Sharon went out of her way.|She didn't have to talk to me, she didn't have to ask around for me, and she didn't have to message me back, but she did.||A good indication that Beachcomber is the place to stay and one for me to bear in mind for...
Read moreThis B+B is absolutely perfect. The rooms have a homely feel to them and are to a high standard of cleanliness. Situated literary a 5 minute walk from North Beach and a 5 minute walk away from the bustling town centre. When my family of five arrived we were greeted with a warm and welcoming reception. The owners Sharon and Ian go out of their way to make sure everything is alright for you. Everyday they would ask you how you were getting along and make suggestions on where to visit. So up beat and cheerful. The breakfast was amazing with a good selection of items on the menu and with all the food being locally sourced .But what really impressed me was the after care : 1. They helped us carry our luggage to our car. 2. Making sure we had a spot to park the car straight outside the building so it wouldn't be to much of a walk .and 3 .a sort of legal advice that Sharon gave my wife on another holiday that we are going on . To sum up book this place, you will not regret it . I give it the highest recommendation . If Google did 5⭐ + , then I would give them that. My family and I will certainly be...
