First time visiting this holiday park with our family.. we are a family of 2 young children.. 4 and 1. When we first arrived we were greeted by the very friendly lovely security guard which was a good start until we went to reception and we didn’t have the best of welcomes. The lady in reception wasn’t very polite quite blunt and rude after driving 8 hours to get there that was disappointing.. I assumed maybe it was because we booked privately instead of threw them? ( we did speak to this lady a couple of times and every time she was blunt and rude, dark haired lady slight American accent I think) the shop onsite has lots to choose from Which is handy when you have young children to cook for, but the staff are rude and one particular girl on her phone all the time texting which didn’t help because my partner asked for some tobacco and she gave him the wrong one.. the evening entertainment is great for older children probably best for kids over 7, my daughter didn’t really enjoy it she says it was boring and she is 4! She did however love the fox meeting!! The swimming pool booking method is ridiculous! We were there 3 days before we could go swimming as they were always full up! It’s very cold and boring for young kids once again! We struggle to get our daughter out the pool usually but she wanted out after 20 minutes, the changing room door kept opening all the time when we were trying to get changed as the locks were dodgy so not very good! There was a slide there but apparently it was not in use because the barrier was broken however it was there 2 minutes before we wanted to go on it and it looked fine to me! There was a HUGE safety problem there also.. a speaker playing music with NO covers on to stop the water from getting on it! Very dangerous. No cover for the plugs and the tall speaker itself didn’t have a cover over the speakers!! Being right next to the baby pool that’s unacceptable. The staff at the swimming weren’t very good either, lots of swearing around young children! I will say that the Arcade is pretty good for young kids my daughter loved it, indoor soft play is nothing to shout home about, the fish and chip shop, food wise is amazing!! Lovely fish! Bit pricey and slow though would recommend going out of the camp to get fish and chips, bingo is good fun.. beaches and scenery is amazing round there though! They view we had was beautiful!! The holiday camp itself is stunning and very safe.. would return to Berwick for the scenery itself.. but definitely not for the holiday camp. Ashame really as we were all looking forward to it, definitely get the feeling that it’s used to having its regulars and it’s quite clicky, ( another thing I will say is maybe have some more affective rules on having dogs at the park to) we were near 2 caravans and the owners kept leaving there dogs all night which was irritating as all they did was bark and whine for hours!! You can hear everything and it kept my 4 year old awake most nights! ( although I know the campsite can’t control dog owners but would say get more strict rules) we did complain but I guess nothing happened as it kept happening until I left a note stuck to there door.. would also say it feels and looks like it’s run by young people and sometimes that’s good but on this occasion it isn’t.. we did have a good few things and enjoy a good couple of things here but 65% wasn’t good. Such a shame as I went here when I was a young child...

The park is clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly, but the site seems short staffed, which does have a knock on effect to holiday makers.

Caravan was ok... knob on cleaning cupboard fault, caravan could be cleaner, we stayed in a bronze caravan, golf course 5, but the caravan did what we needed.

Games court.... familys played football, on the football court, when it was not being used, which was great fun. The haven staff were more interested in playing football ( so did not play handball, football rounders, which we had booked for useing our passes, which was a let down for the children).

Did not use night time entertainment, so can not review that, they do play bingo at 5.20pm ( kids dinner time) .. a 4 page book 3 x  1 line £78 , 1 x fullhouse £320. ( book costs £10).

amusments big, pleanty of machines, ticket collect machines all worked, had pool tables ( £1 a go ) , ice hockey, 2p machines, car racing machines... all the normal machines in a holiday amusements, there is also a candy floss machine in the amusements ( costs £2).be warned on the last day ( for us it was a thursday, the que for the price shop to cash in tokens, can take an hour , and only 1 staff member in it, its not a good choice either, unlike other haven sites).

There is a fun train, which goes round the site, costs £2.50 per person, and lasts about 10/15 minutes ( cash payments only).

There are 2 cash machines, not always working, one in shop, other in amusements, there is also a contactless cash machine in amusements, only gives you £20 in pound coins.

Outside pool opens at 11am, no need to book, there is plenty of seating in this area. indoor swimming only 1 hour and use bands to check your time slot, there is a small slide in the indoor swimming pool, which the kids loved, people were also playing with balls in the pool,

There is 3 ways to the beaches... the one by the golf course has slopping steps walk way, the other 2, lots and lots of steps, no way to beach for wheelchairs, the beaches are very rocky, with a small amount of sand... and the beaches are very smelly.

There is a small climbing frame, next to the outdoor pool, and a large slide, swings near the beach with the icecream truck and toilets.

Passes being checked, which is a first for haven, as other haven sites do not check them, which was good to see.

Brigs on tweed resturant, the food was nice, expensive, ( we had, burger and chips, steak pie and chips, fish and chips , 2 cokes and glass of water , cost us £42.45) , we had to wait 46 minutes for our food, and another 10 minutes to pay, i saw others cancel order and walk out, haven need to work on this.

The chippy only opens from 5pm to 9pm daily, and can be a bit expensive ( chips and cheese £4.09 ). Chips were ok but nothing amazing.

The shop on site is very expensive, but well stocked, seems to do the job, they also do the lottery, if your feeling lucky🤣🤣

Taxi to bewick train station is £3, or you can prebook it for £4 🤣.

Asda, tesco and iceland all deliver to site ( order online), we used iceland, came when due, and delivered to caravan door.

Aldi, morrison and macdonalds all a 15 minute walk from site.

In town centre is a sports direct, iceland, b & ms, home bargains, cafes in town are very expensive, there is a desserts and icecream place next to b&ms expensive but very nice.

Town centre is a 7 minute walk from the site.

Would i visit site again... yes, would i recommend...

To start with we were directed totally away from where our Caravan was by the Rep (being told "go straight ahead as far as possible then take a left turn and it's on the right")instead of being told to go 1st left then 2nd left! Thought he'd know the site. We spent 15 minutes driving around to find "Golf 4 " Caravan. Caravan was small and wasn't hoovered with dust under the bed and grime on walls, also holes in the curtains! At night we went to amusements only to find there are very few gambling machines that pay out money wins (adult section machines and the push 2p machines),with the majority paying out with tickets to purchase a not great choice of prize with. Night entertainment (kids entertainment till 9pm)from 9pm there was a male singer who was bad (even Bar Staff comented). The last orders were called early for us to have to leave the building at 11pm even though info sent to us mentioned 12 mid-night closing! Back to Caravan and watched TV till 1am because we're on holiday but got an early alarm 8am by the truck from the Breweries delivering and collecting metal beer casks on Tuesday morning. At first we thought it was a horrendous noise coming from the Caravan but looking out a window we realised it was a delivery.Very noisy operation for 30 minutes and then loud conversations took place before truck left. Tuesday night entertainment from 9pm we had another male singer with a guitar that spoiled several songs by having his own take on classics songs like Oasis and other similar legends songs! Again we had to leave the building for 11pm. Once again on Wednesday morning the early wake-up call from yet another delivery (we thought there would only have been just one delivery for the week). This time at 8.15am with the 30 minutes of extreme noise followed by loud conversations. I'm surprised this hasn't been raised before and something done to resolve this mater, such as a later delivery. Wednesday night at entertainment we had yer another male singer who was actually good but did sing Christmas songs, but it was a relief to have a decent singer! On Thursday morning there appeared to be no early morning delivery! (Total peace) Thursday night entertainment didn't exist apart from some music being played until we were chased out the building this time for 10.30.....on our last night! Unbelievable! Surprise,Surprise,Friday morning there's another delivery but this time even earlier at 7.30 am!! Of course we had inevitable half hour operation followed by the now normal loud conversations. We had a few daytime journeys to surrounding areas which helped to make our visit to Berwick upon Tweed feel somewhat worthwhile. We had been to Berwick Caravan Site a good few years ago and it was a really memorable experience as we were entertained by a Conedian one night and a Magician another night and this is what made nightly entertainment great. We also didn't get evicted from the building till 12 mid-night then. We thought we might have got something similar this time around but sadly not. Can I just say the Bar Staff were very efficient, especially the young blond girl and young man in...

If you’re looking for an unforgettable getaway, I wholeheartedly recommend Haven Holidays to everyone, no matter your interests. There’s truly something delightful for everyone! With an impressive array of locations sprinkled across Great Britain, each park offers various accommodations that cater to every budget. You can choose from cozy caravans, charming chalets, inviting apartments, spacious lodges, and even unique glamping experiences. For those who love the great outdoors, there are options for touring and camping too, making it a perfect base for exploration. As a solo traveller, I often seize the opportunity to book Bronze or Silver Caravan Hideaway Holidays. This thoughtful choice not only allows me to immerse myself in the local areas but also aligns beautifully with my hobbies—birdwatching, wandering through nature reserves, strolling along scenic trails, and capturing moments through my amateur photography. So far, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting seven different Haven Holiday Parks. Among my favourites are Haggerston Castle and Berwick-upon-Tweed, each of which I’ve explored three times, along with two wonderful visits to Thornwick Bay. Every park I’ve stayed at has been a testament to care and attention, with well-maintained grounds, beautifully arranged gardens, and comfortable accommodations. The caravans are not only inviting but also equipped with everything you need, all while remaining excellent value for money. When it comes to dining, you’ll find a wide variety of options available, whether you prefer dining in or grabbing a takeaway. The on-site shops are generally well-stocked and have convenient opening hours, allowing you to find everything you might need during your stay. While I can’t speak much about the entertainment venues—since I typically spend my days exploring and returning to rest—I’ve observed that they seem to be bustling with activity! Visitors appear to enjoy them, and I’ve yet to hear a complaint from fellow holidaymakers. Families are well catered for, with play areas and activities that will keep children of all ages entertained. If you’re a fan of the seaside, you’ll love the expansive, sandy beaches that many of the coastal parks boast. A particular highlight is that numerous parks are nestled near nature reserves, with some even having on-site reserves for those looking to connect with wildlife right outside their door. All in all, Haven Holidays offers a delightful escape that can suit anyone's taste—laying the perfect foundation for cherished memories and new adventures!

Booked a 4 day stay earlier in the year after having one canceled due to Covid last year. Well worth the wait. Just sad we didn't get much time on site during the stay as we wanted to pack as much visiting of the local area as possible in. The caravan was pretty much spotless unless being picky and acting like guests on TV's 4 in a bed. It's a holiday park, not a high end hotel. I booked because I have visited Berwick-upon-Tweed in the past and fell in love with the place. It's as close to the border as it gets with Scotland being about 4 miles north, access to some quaint Scottish towns like Kelso is simple and worth the small drive on some nice Scottish roads. The town itself has a very nice aspect of its own being so close to the sea. Something which on day one of our stay wasn't a great thing, we had around 50mph gusts hammering us for the first day but suffice to say the caravan took the heavy beating well and must have been very securely tethered! Minor flood issues due to being bottom of the hill were quickly dealt with by vital drainage channels in the right spots. This must have been a past issue that was resolved well. The staff on site that we did meet, pretty much just the security on gate (who was very friendly, a great person to be welcoming guests) and the staff in shop were pleasant. Shame shop prices were predictably high as going out for basics in the town made it more viable to use them, would prefer to support Haven than Tesco due to the struggles the hospitality industry has faced but the shops are a few minutes away. The only issues are the standard on sites owned by big companies like Haven, Parkdean etc, the caravans being too close together. We got lucky for once and were surrounded by either quiet elderly people or caravans that were privately owned but vacant, often issues can arise though from the small distance though like the acoustics of the noise from other guests. For this reason I recommend spending a little extra to chose the location of your caravan. Why no 5/5? Because it was purely fortune that lead us to having a nice peaceful stay and the road there was very hard on the suspension. I understand there is a school down the road to get there but if you have a car that is low in any way you might have a little more struggle than the average speed bump. Mine isn't even low usually but with holiday luggage etc it wasn't ideal going over something so big. Overall though beautiful area that I can't wait to visit again. I'll definitely stay in the future.
