Castlegate Chippy — Restaurant in England

Called Into Tonight At 7.15pm I Ordered Shawarma Chicken and Lamb Wrap With Chips and Garlic, Chicken and Donner Kebab Plate With Grilled Halloumi and Sausage Chips and Curry. The Sausage,Chips and Curry Was Ready Straight Away Which Meant They Would Be Cold By The Times The Rest Of The Order Was Finished Which Was 8pm. I Got Into The Car To Check My Order Was Right Before Pulling Away I Was Missing 1 Portion Of Chips and The Grilled Halloumi The Girls Was So Apologetic But The Guy That Was Cooking Thought It Was Funny He Went To Make The Halloumi And Said To One Of The Girls There You Go She Told Him That Is Not Cooked I Gave Up In The End Because The Food I Waited 45 Minutes Pluss For Would Be Cold! When I Got Home The Wrap That Was Meant To Be Chicken and Lamb It Was Chicken and Donner Which The Donner Wasn't Nice At All! The Kebab Plate Was Meant To Be Chicken and Donner But It Was Chicken,Lamb and Donner. The Orders That The Girl Put Down Was Right So Why Couldn't The Guy That Was Making The Food Get The Orders Right All He Had To Do Was Read From The Order. There Was Another Guy There Who Thought He Actually New It All But He Didn't, If He Just Left The 2 Girls To Sorting The Orders Out Nothing Would Of Been Missing, He Interfered Far To Much When There...

SEE EDIT BELOW. I would highly recommend the Castlegate Chippy. The food is delicious and the service was excellent. I would especially recommend the chicken parmesans. Top notch.

EDIT: Above is my original review. Since posting this, my experiences with this restaurant have been much less positive. Most of the time the food takes much longer than quoted. A much bigger issue than this though is the general inconsistency with each order. Even very simple orders tend to have multiple things missing, cold, or overcooked. The last order, for example, was missing the sauces that normally accompany the parmos. The Lebanese salad that can be absolutely lovely was replaced with a very small portion of unseasoned, undressed, lettuce, green pepper, and onion. I can't remember what the salad costs, but this was a disgrace for what we got. The parmos themselves were missing the garlic butter that they normally have, were massively overcooked, and one was missing jalapenos, which were replaced by chunks of green pepper instead. It's annoying because the food can be excellent, but it's slowly starting to put me off using them again because I just never know what state my meal...

This is my first time trying the takeaway since the new renovation. I had heard many people talking about the chicken parms so was looking forward to trying.

I ordered easily online; an original chicken parm, deep fried jalapeños with cheese and pineapple rings with syrup, being quoted half an hour delivery time. My order arrived over an hour later.

I ate the jalapeño poppers first, surprised to see there being lettuce in the box, which made the batter of the poppers extremely soggy. They were still nice tasting though.

I was unfortunately not so impressed with the chicken parm. The white sauce was congealed and the cheese was a strange tasting cheddar. None of which really had any semblance of taste. It was extremely bland, offset with the odd cheese taste. The chips that came with the parm were even less pleasant; greasy, with a funky grease taste.

The pineapple rings were alright, however again, not the best quality pineapple.
