This is the worst hotel that I have ever had to use in my life. Maybe somewhere in another building they have one or two good rooms, but the room we had was horrible and in a horrible building. The room was so dirty, and walls in mould, I was worried to stay there, especially because we were with our toddler. We found dirty things in the room and wet towels, from previous guests, probably. The rug was very smelly and even the bathroom curtain was smelling like dirty socks. The shower jet was so strong that the water was spilling everywhere and the ridiculously small shower curtain wasn’t stopping any water. Also the shower tube was dripping seriously. After a 7 min shower, the entire bathroom was somehow flooded . Plus, I don’t know what kind of hotel is this if the outside door was unlocked all night and there was none to supervise the building, no reception, no nearby supervision whatsoever. Anyone can get in the building in the middle of the night without a problem. This hotel should not only be avoided, but it can be considered a...
Read moreDo not stay at this hotel. I booked this hotel for my trip to the UK in September in February. I booked a non-refundable rate; I had no intentions of not making my trip. When Covid hit, I had to cancel my trip. I booked through hotels.com as I did most of all my hotels (nonrefundable rates) for a 19-day trip. I was able to cancel with full refund for all my hotels except for OYO Loch Ness Drumnadochit. I repeatedly spoke with them asking them to give me a waiver on the nonrefundable rate, so Hotels.com would refund my money. They flat out refused to allow me to cancel without penalty (the cost of the stay). They did this amidst a Global Pandemic. This hotel and this hotel chain are not wiling to help me. They do not care about their customers; their only concern is their bottom line. What makes this worse is they would tell me when I speak to them that I could have the waiver, but when Hotels.com called them they refused. If you care at all about a business’ values and/or morals, stay away...
Read moreVery disappointing final night caused by miscommunication and rude staff. We went down for dinner at 19:00 and it appeared that we’re was some kind of tour or event on at the cafe as it was pretty full however there were open tables. The sign outside said open so as you do, we walked in. We were asked very rudely by a member of staff “can I help you” after glaring at us for walking in the cafe. We asked if we can have some dinner and she said “No” . Without reason given. Without a question if we had a reservation. Without saying no they fully booked or anything, just simple “No”. Please bear in mind that we are guests at the hotel.
My advise is if you are going to close the restaurant for a private function to give your guests warning so we can make a plan or at least offer a take away or something to your guests. Our dinner tonight is an apple as there are no other dog friendly restaurants in the area. Disappointed is an...
