This is the worst hotel that I have ever had to use in my life. Maybe somewhere in another building they have one or two good rooms, but the room we had was horrible and in a horrible building. The room was so dirty, and walls in mould, I was worried to stay there, especially because we were with our toddler. We found dirty things in the room and wet towels, from previous guests, probably. The rug was very smelly and even the bathroom curtain was smelling like dirty socks. The shower jet was so strong that the water was spilling everywhere and the ridiculously small shower curtain wasn’t stopping any water. Also the shower tube was dripping seriously. After a 7 min shower, the entire bathroom was somehow flooded . Plus, I don’t know what kind of hotel is this if the outside door was unlocked all night and there was none to supervise the building, no reception, no nearby supervision whatsoever. Anyone can get in the building in the middle of the night without a problem. This hotel should not only be avoided, but it can be considered a...

Do not stay at this hotel. I booked this hotel for my trip to the UK in September in February. I booked a non-refundable rate; I had no intentions of not making my trip. When Covid hit, I had to cancel my trip. I booked through hotels.com as I did most of all my hotels (nonrefundable rates) for a 19-day trip. I was able to cancel with full refund for all my hotels except for OYO Loch Ness Drumnadochit. I repeatedly spoke with them asking them to give me a waiver on the nonrefundable rate, so Hotels.com would refund my money. They flat out refused to allow me to cancel without penalty (the cost of the stay). They did this amidst a Global Pandemic. This hotel and this hotel chain are not wiling to help me. They do not care about their customers; their only concern is their bottom line. What makes this worse is they would tell me when I speak to them that I could have the waiver, but when Hotels.com called them they refused. If you care at all about a business’ values and/or morals, stay away...

Very disappointing final night caused by miscommunication and rude staff. We went down for dinner at 19:00 and it appeared that we’re was some kind of tour or event on at the cafe as it was pretty full however there were open tables. The sign outside said open so as you do, we walked in. We were asked very rudely by a member of staff “can I help you” after glaring at us for walking in the cafe. We asked if we can have some dinner and she said “No” . Without reason given. Without a question if we had a reservation. Without saying no they fully booked or anything, just simple “No”. Please bear in mind that we are guests at the hotel.

My advise is if you are going to close the restaurant for a private function to give your guests warning so we can make a plan or at least offer a take away or something to your guests. Our dinner tonight is an apple as there are no other dog friendly restaurants in the area. Disappointed is an...

My stay at the Loch Ness Drumnadrochit Hotel felt like stepping back into the 1980s. The retro vibe was an interesting experience, almost charming in its nostalgia, but it came with mixed impressions. The rooms were clean and offered decent value for money, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the restaurant and food quality left much to be desired. Breakfast was, without a doubt, the most disappointing part of the stay. It was the most lackluster and uninspiring meal I’ve ever had in a hotel. The sausages, which seemed to be made from questionable “Loch Ness mystery meat,” were far from appetizing. The overall breakfast spread felt like something you’d find in a medieval dormitory—sparse, outdated, and utterly devoid of flavor or variety. While the hotel has its charms, the dining experience desperately needs an upgrade to match the scenic allure of Loch Ness. :( food disaster

Possibly the worst "3 star" hotel I have ever stayed in. Also to think they charged £100 a night without breakfast is simply daylight robbery. Reception wasn't even open at 7:45am so couldn't even leave my keys to check out, couldn't even have bought breakfast at that time if I wanted it. Room was miniscule, unclean, damp and the party walls were paper thin so could hear everything going on next door. Only saving grace was the pleasant staff while checking in. This place is one to avoid I'm afraid. Shame it's in such a touristy area as its giving Scottish hospitality a bad name.

The hotel is well located, just near the Urquhart Castel and the different stores of Drumnadrochit, so it is perfect to enjoy the Loch Ness ! The staff is nice as well as the restaurant. The only problem is the acoustic insulation of bedrooms, the walls are very thin, you can hear the neighbor doors in the middle of the night and hear them talking as well. I have to admit it was difficult for me to sleep…. Otherwise all was perfect, the room was very clean and it includes even free coffee.
