Back in early April, after a long day of hiking and driving through Isle of Skye, we decided to head back to Inverness by way of Loch Ness, through Drumnadrochit. It was getting late, and the rural driving was making it difficult to book a place to stay. We saw this B&B on Expedia but we were not connecting. In a desperate attempt, I told my husband we could maybe knock on the door. Worst case, they say no!
But Keith answered the door and said YES! Hallelujah! He brought us up to our room and asked us to kindly fill out our breakfast form before bed. We quickly did so and said goodnight.
Our room was so cozy and lovely. We ran a hot bath to warm our souls from the frigid hike we did that day, got snuggled into bed with tea and watched some TV before sleep.
The next morning, Jackie and Keith had prepared the breakfast area with everything you could ever need. Teas/Coffees/Juices, cereals & fruit, and served us our breakfast. We got to speak with Keith for a little while too & even met some of their fur babies!
This was one of the nicest B&Bs we've ever seen; clean, cozy, and well-designed. Keith and Jackie are both so nice and very professional. We wish them all the best in their Bed and breakfast success and highly recommend this spot to couples looking to rest their heads in a...
Read moreI travelled to the Highlands with my brother and elderly mother for a short break. We stayed at Bridgend House B&B which has recently opened as a bed and breakfast. Our visit with the hosts, Jackie and Keith, was definitely the highlight of the trip. The bed and breakfast has been refurbished to the highest standards and we were very comfortable in our twin and double rooms. The bathrooms were finished beautifully and the showers were brilliant! There were many thoughtful touches such as fresh milk in the bedrooms. There was a wide choice for breakfast and we enjoyed our breakfasts over the three days, particularly the poached eggs and the pancakes. Jackie and Keith were splendid hosts and they were kind and thoughtful. We also enjoyed meeting Charlie their Yorkshire terrier. The bed and breakfast is in a great location and it is walking distance to the pub, shops and cafes. All in all, it was a great base for our visit to this beautiful part...
Read moreAmazing B&B. The location is absolutely perfect. Just 20 min from Inverness. Inside a little village with every commodity. The house is gorgeous. We received a very heartwarming welcome yet extremely professional with every information necessary. The whole house is the cleanest we've seen. The room we had was absolutely perfect. The mattress could have been a little more firm but that's really more of a personal preference. A big bathroom with huge Italian shower.
Breakfast was very well organised and really good. With options from traditional British to classic continental.
The standards are very very high for Keith and Jackie. They put so much work into every detail.
They manage to combine authentic "feel at home" vibe with extreme professionalism.
The kind of experience that make people want to start their own B&B.
Thanks again and hope to come back and...
