La Casina Cafe Bistro — Restaurant in England

Was around the area, not local to my regular Turkish Cafe - Mediterranean in Whaley Range and thought I’d give this place a go.

So disappointing, completely lacks authenticity. Witnessed my hummus being taken from a fresh tub of supermarket hummus. Along with my pesto from the jar. All these things are ok, as long as the price reflects and there’s a little bit of love going into the preparation which there was a complete lack of. A member of staff came in from outside and immediately began preparing food, which turned my stomach.

I wasn’t asked if I wanted salt on chips or any sauce. - those little added extras go a long way when it comes to hospitality.

My local cafes are much better, I think it’s time this cafe did some market research and rethought their approach to the Turkish cuisine that they offering.

Ordered a takeout from this cafe. I ordered a scrambled egg and salmon bagel, and I received a bacon and scrambled egg bagel. I called the cafe to inform them of this. Their reply was, as it was so early in the morning, they did not have any salmon prepared, and the chef substituted it with bacon. I had no call to tell me this. They assumed I liked bacon. They then said that they would do a fresh order for me, this time with salmon. When the food arrived, it was ok. As I got to the end of my meal, I nearly swallowed, what appeared to be a piece of plastic. The meals are overpriced for the cheap ingredients they use. My partner also ordered the Cajun chicken, and the portion size was ridiculous, hardly any chips. Wouldn’t...

Poor customer service. Lack of knowledge of basic cafe running. Entered the cafe at approx 11.30, a young girl and older woman taking orders, ordered egg and bacon on toast with a coffee to take out. Waited for a while for it to come out (there was nobody else in). Then I was handed my order but no coffee, I questioned the where the coffee is and they looked at me like I was stupid but then checked the order and made the coffee. I took it home and realised it was just egg on bread. No bacon and not on toast. Tried to call, no answer and no email to contact hence this review.
