The Viking's accommodation is in a lovely quiet street. The man who checked us in seemed friendly enough, we had the downstairs room think number 10, firstly it was freezing and a good job there was a plug-in oil-filled radiator. The room was noisy from the front door every time other guests left and entered as the door is right next to your room, outside the room window is a table and two chairs, guests sit right next to your window talking smoking ect. The television is dated with no WiFi only free-view TV and is awful to use, luckily we brought our tablet and had to watch that. The guest kitchen was fully equipped hob, cooker, fridge freezer washer, it was spotlessly clean. Would we stay again no, lumpy bed, itchy bottom sheet no top sheet, they have tried to make the place look good but not an immaculate finish.

This accommodation is very close to the town centre (15ish min walk) and on a quiet side street with parking that is only £5 a day just outside the property. The gentlemen who showed us in gave us lots of advice on what to do/see in York and kindly told us that we can use the kitchen downstairs in the lobby to store drinks/food if we needed to. The room was the top floor one which had 2 skylights and a well fitted en-suite bathroom 🚽. 2 nights cost £137 which was very reasonable. We would definitely come again!

SUPERB. We just had 3 nights Fri 13th-Mon 16th June at this wonderful guest house. Noar (the owner) was on site awaiting our arrival. He helped us with our cases to room 1 on the 1st floor. The room was very modern and spacious with a very comfortable double bed. Modern en-suite with bath and shower (over the bath,). Free standing fan in the room which we used as we were lucky enough to have warm weather. Noar was very helpful and gave us a map and suggested places to visit. 10/15 min walked into centre with pubs along the way. Communal kitchen on site which we used to store food and drinks in the fridge and a microwave to warm things up. Overall I would say it this place is faultless, very clean, close to everything, very reasonably priced with a great host. I would highly recommend staying here and we will certainly book here again on our next visit. Thank you for a lovely memorable stay 👍. Andrew & Karen, Treorchy,...

We stayed in the first floor room at the front. Very good accomodation, nice, clean & tidy, 10-12 min walk from Bootham Bar, friendly host. Only downside was the very noisy toilet flushing from upstairs & when people came in later at night it was noisy again. We chose not to have our room cleaned or changed as we were only there two night, so left it all locked up. We came back after a day out & the carpet was all wet. When I rang the owner to ask why, he said the carpets had been cleaned....I would of thought that would of been done when noone was staying there, so we both had to wear our shoes in the room for the rest of our stay. Its good to know that the carpets get cleaned (its a first for me in a b&b) but please wait until the room is vacant.

I do recommend this place as it is very nice & in a...
