On arrival at the house myself and support worker got there and they knew we went together but needed separate rooms and we got the impression that the rooms would be next to each other but oh no how wrong we were!! When we arrived we rang the bell and the gentleman answered and showed one of us to the downstairs room and I helped with the suitcase. He then said I was at the top of the house and when he said top I was. He did not help with my luggage and I was really struggling as the stairs were steep. We did mention about what are we so far apart but he didn’t answer. The bar was only open between 18:00 and 19:00 and if you wanted to order something to eat he used to huff and puff and said we would be waiting a while because he had to make everything from scratch. The room downstairs was very cold so I had to take my heater from the top room and give it to my companion on the bottom floor. The taps in the room were difficult for him to open because when the cleaner went in the room to clean it they tightened the taps to much that he had to call his companion to open them even though we asked for them not to be tightened. There were a lot of empty rooms so they could have put us next to each other and didn’t understand why they had not. The breakfast was ok but he never seemed happy and it was like he didn’t want to be there!! Not...
Read moreThis is a beautiful guest house. First impressions count a great deal when you arrive and not only was the property pristine in appearance and cleanliness but the warmth of the welcome from Robert was as wonderful as the guest house.||Every detail has been lovingly thought of to ensure your stay is perfect. The rooms are well equipped and extremely comfortable. Dressing gowns, iron and ironing board, towels, soap, shower gel, complimentary hot drinks tray which includes a cafetière for the ground coffee provided along with tea, instant coffee, biscuits, chocolate and bottled water. A very good WiFi signal works throughout the property.||The property is situated within easy walking distance of the beach and the shops and main town. It is about a one mile walk to the main train station.||Breakfast which is served between 7 - 9am is freshly cooked and delicious.||I cannot fault any aspect of our stay. It is obvious that Robert cares deeply about his business and this is evidently proved in the wonderful professional way he treats his guests. He wants you to enjoy your time in Great Yarmouth and thanks to him and his beautiful and relaxing accommodation, we did.||The greatest recommendation I can make is that I would stay at Beaumont House again...
Read moreSuch an accommodating and kind owner. He has done absolutely everything to make us feel welcome in his B&B. I always find B&B’s to be more personal than a hotel and this place most definitely is!! The place is very clean and to a high standard. He went above and beyond as I am on prep and he cooked my beans on toast for me at 8:30 in the evening. Something that he didn’t have to do and not the treatment you would get at a hotel. The amenities are really good and there’s good power on the hair dryer provided too. The tea and coffee is a good amount with enough milk provided. The little touches definitely make the stay with a small mini chocolate, biscuits and bottled water also provided in the room. The room has smart plugs sockets, so if you forget your charger plug, you’re good to go, the location is great about a 10 min walk from the B&B. Coffee served for breakfast is filter coffee and very nice and he makes his own homemade jam. Parking can be a little bit of an issue, but there is a large car park further down the road if you can’t park on the off street parking due to it being a busy road. But if disabled there is a parking slot across the street...
