Great location, with 24-hour parking (NCP) available a very short distance away opposite. I did ring the bell marked Riley's Room entrance, but a member of staff from the pub next door (Riley's bar) looked after myself and two other guests who arrived at the same time. Please note that a cash deposit is payable on check in (£50 for me), which I was not aware of although appreciate other reviews have mentioned this. The nearest cash machine I found was in Central (Lime Street Station entrance) which is a short walk away. You will also need some form of photographic ID. As well as key for your room, you are issued with an access code to enter the building, and I was helpfully advised to take a photo of this on my phone which I did.||||The rooms are clean and comfortable. Hot drinks are available at the entrance for a charge of £1. There is a Tesco express very close by as well as a variety of fast-food outlets within easy reach. The rooms include a hairdryer.||||I had booked a tour the following morning so needed to check out earlier than the 10.30am check out time. There is a room marked reception, but this was closed so I rang the emergency number in order to have my deposit returned. The very friendly and helpful member of staff arrived at the property and returned my deposit immediately. There was the offer of being able to leave left luggage which on this occasion I did not need.||||Would recommend for a short city-based stay, for a reasonable price, with good parking available...
Read moreWell, usually a room is for sleeping It was Friday, unbeknownst to me, karaoke night I love karaoke, but not when my room is sitting right above the bar with non existent noise insulation. And any music with base would cause high vibration of metal elements in the toilet Then there was the aircon outside the window, but it wasn't for my room, see, the windows face a closed area, so that aircon noise was loud, and it was either suffer from heat, or suffer from the aircon Then 4 AM comes, some girls had rented one room, apparently there were 4 in one bed or something, because management decided to wake everyone trying to sleep in already bad conditions with banging doors, shouting at the girls to leave, that he called the police, etc, get out get out, shouting like a maniac at 4AM, this lasted for 30 mins Then, that aircon motor starter was noisy, and it was boiling hot, so sleeping was impossible It was a horrible night, they decided to make everyone's night worse and I would not recommend these guys to a Leper colony, even Lepers need to sleep As for a modicum of an apology, non existent, as for a partial or full refund? Forget about it, it's a sleep lottery, I am definitely not lucky with scratch cards and the like Well, the rooms were clean and modern, that...
Read moreVisited Liverpool for an Elton John concert in June. Didnt know what to expect really as i felt the price was very reasonable which sometimes means the standards are low. I need not have worried. ||We were met at the door by the owner (i think) who came out from the bar to greet us. He was so friendly and gave us a quick rundown on door codes etc and took us to book in with James. Booked in quickly and were taken up to the room. Lot of stairs to get to our room on the top floor so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or request a lower room. Room was a very comfortable triple room. Lovely, clean and modern with a flatscreen tv and drinks facilities available in the hall for a fee. The location is perfect, only steps away from places to eat and drink as well as sights to see. Again the owner was on hand to advise of places to go and see and offered lots of info on how to get to Anfield to see the show. Lovely man! There is a multi story carpark across the road so not far to walk with cases. Check out was quick and again 2 lovely staff in reception to share our stories with and returned our deposit. I didnt get to do all the sightseeing i wanted to as the nightlife was so great so will definitely be back soon. Highly...
