WORST DINING EXPERIENCE
From the moment we set foot in Bella Italia, our evening took a turn for the worse. The staff seemed reluctant to accommodate my date's seating preference for no apparent reason, which led to an unnecessary back-and-forth. After some insistence, they eventually complied.
Placing our order for both food and drinks was followed by an agonising wait. The chicken wings my date ordered for starters were far from satisfactory—undercooked and certainly not oven-grilled. She couldn't even take a bite. Requesting a glass of water only added to the disappointment, as I was served in a dirty glass with unpleasant sediment(the lime was rotten). This was a standard below what one would expect from a dining establishment.
My date's drink, unfortunately, fell short of expectations, leaving her thoroughly disheartened at this point. The situation took a drastic turn when, while enjoying her lasagna, she discovered a hair in her dish. Our server, Rachael, failed to offer a sincere apology, merely stating, 'I can have another one prepared for you.' This response was not only impolite but also insensitive, leaving my date contemplating a less diplomatic course of action.
Neither the Chef nor the Manager, identified as Ste and Lia, made any effort to address this regrettable incident. It was only upon our departure that Ste approached us upon requesting their names, giving us an email to send our complaints with the intent of sweeping the matter under the rug. Regrettably, an apology for their abysmal service was never extended.
Adding to the catalog of mishaps, my spaghetti bolognese arrived lukewarm and notably lacked the essential touch of salt. Rachael, our server, exhibited a level of rudeness and impatience that exceeded any prior dining experience. Basic necessities, such as cutlery, were glaringly absent. When we requested them, Rachael unceremoniously plopped a fork onto our bare table, devoid of a proper setting. To add further insult, she neglected to provide a table knife for the lasagna.
In the end, Bella Italia managed to mar what should have been an enjoyable evening, leaving us with a bitter taste that far surpassed the...
Read moreVisited today. Had a reservation for 2pm but phoned up over an hour earlier to cheekily ask if we could come early. It was no problem. Arrived and shown to our table by a beautiful lady with long brown hair (sorry I didn't get her name), who not only served and generally ran around but also greeted people & answered the phone aswell. Ordered our drinks with a young, blonde waitress who told us the flavour of San Pelligeino we wanted was out of stock but then brought us the said drink lol. The baked mushroom starters were lovely, the traditional lasange tasted a bit wheaty and the Cacio E Pepe, consisting of pasta, Chickin and panchetta was OK but won't be having again. Not the best visit to a Bella we've ever had, along with the earlier wrong drink, the same waitress bought us the food but no utensils and also the bill came with alsorts of various meals on it we hadn't actually had lol. Sorted it in the end though. Not the best visit we had there, but the lady I mentioned before who totally multi-tasked deserves a payrise. She...
Read moreWent in for dinner had a table booked for half 6 ended up coming in earlier, woman who gave us a table made a little joke of waiting outside (was quite funny even though I'd have happily waited😂) food was amazing so compliments on the chefs who were in work. Service was excellent too, really on point. Lovley place to pop in for some food.
Recommended to book a table instead of just turning up so you know you'll definitely get a seat. Wheelchair accessible as well so no limitations.
I got the Formaggio pizza which is really nice, has a lovely sweet taste to it veggie too and can be made gluten free. As for majority of the dishes they can be accommodated for your needs as well as allergies which is asked upon arrival at the restaurant.
10/10 place, most definitely recommend! Definitely will be back one day. Ta...
