5 Stars for Premier Inn. 0 stars for the attached restaurant "Table Table"
Came to the hotel on Saturday 29/10/22 just after 4pm and was greeted by a nice reception staff member who took our details, asked a few follow up questions and then without delay gave us our room key and perfect directions to the room. Was able to borrow an iron and board at late notice.
The room was lovely. Thanks to staff member Lauren as it was immaculate! So giving 5 stars for hotel service. We had a double bed which was super comfy with a cloud like duvet making for a lovely sleep. Bathroom was smart including a simple shower with perfect water pressure and temperature. Got the usual tea and coffee which was nice. The window view was just of trees and a road but that's not their fault so can't hold that against the hotel. Was really easy to sleep even with an event going on at the showground opposite. I run warm so was so glad to see a fan in the room which was a saving grace. However the thermostat seemed to be stuck at 23 degrees C which didn't help.
We were both really looking forward to the bottomless breakfast the next morning as expected it to be buffet style for hot food however this wasn't the case. It more like a normal restaurant so you feel bad for ordering more food.
We were seated by a really nice female staff member however the main waiter was a grumpy middle aged man who wasn't paying attention. At least three times he went to tables who were seated at least 10 mins after us and I had to watch out to catch his eye just to order after far too long. Despite this the food was average except the grilled tomatoes which weren't grilled at all just warmed up a bit, probably in a microwave based on how they looked and their temperature.
Hotel was great! But let down by the restaurant and their low standards. About as much effort put into their name, Table Table, as they put into "cooking" their food.
Would come to the hotel again but would like to see the negative points...
Read moreI was attending an event at the Norwich Showground, which is miles outside of town, but this Premier Inn is located over the road from the main gates, so perfect for an early start. The room had every basic thing you'd expect, from single serving tea and coffee to a set of towels and spare pillow to shower gel and hand soap (no extra luxuries like shampoo, conditioner, body lotion if that's what you're used to in other places). The staff were very friendly and helpful and I was able to leave my bag with them after checkout to make it lighter on me to attend the show. I did not eat at the adjacent restaurant, but there's a popular fast food drive through/diner a short walk away... But there's nothing much in the way of pedestrian egress, so getting across the busy roundabout can take as long as it takes for a break in the traffic! It's just off a major bus route and there's a modest sized car park for customers and restaurant patrons, although I did notice parking charges apply in some situations, so check first. I'd be happy to stay here again, it was just right...
Read moreI would like to extend my sincere thanks to the entire team at Premier Inn for a truly pleasant stay.|The staff are what make this place exceptional – they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and approachable throughout our visit.|I was travelling with my young daughter to visit family, and we simply needed a comfortable, clean place to freshen up and relax in the evenings. This hotel was perfect for that. The room was spacious, spotless, and very well-maintained. I often struggle with pillows when staying in hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised – they were fantastic!|I also requested an iron and ironing board and, despite mentioning that there was no rush due to how busy it was, they were brought to my room almost immediately. That level of service was greatly appreciated.|Thank you again for a lovely stay – we look forward to visiting again soon.|Warm...
