Costa Coffee — Restaurant in South Norfolk

Dropped in for our Christmas favourites after the Christmas Gift & Food Show at the county showground... NEXT Costas are often a tad smarter & more comfortable than their high street counterparts. Wife's velvet cappuccino was very nice she said and my hot spiced apple didn't disappoint, bar the omission of a cinnamon stick. Only 2 staff on it appeared, friendly & working to get all the orders sorted. Sadly the place was very untidy with cluttered uncleared tables everywhere, previous customer's messes, etc. They were doing their best....perhaps a self service/table clearing rack might help on days where they're...

Ok, firstly the coffee was ok. The place wasn't that busy and had quite the wait for two coffees (only two staff), only empty tables available were filthy (so were the floors) and the fabric chairs are so dirty I've seen cleaner at the tip. Staff apologised and began to clean as we finished our coffee, but costa should hire enough staff to cope with the size of the store and keep things nice at all times. Visited this evening with my son for which should have been a pleasurable experience, was greeted by a miserable barista who quite frankly couldn't be bothered, behind the counter was a mess with food to be disposed of sitting out and actually had a fly on it!!!! When we received our coffee we then tried to find a clean table, in total there were 9 tables available and only 3 were clean enough to sit at, we were there for 25 mins before someone came out to clear them!
