I recently stayed at the Premier Inn Spitfire and had an overall excellent experience. The hotel is clean, modern, and offers the high standards of comfort you’d expect from Premier Inn. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The room itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had a very comfortable bed, ensuring a good night’s sleep—at least for most of it! The location is convenient, with easy access to local attractions and amenities, making it a great choice for both business and leisure travellers. The on-site restaurant served a fantastic breakfast with plenty of options, and the evening menu was equally enjoyable. Unfortunately, I was woken up at 3 AM by noise from the room above, which was a bit disruptive. It seemed like heavy footsteps or furniture being moved, which wasn’t ideal. That said, I appreciate that this isn’t necessarily the hotel’s fault, and I’m sure if I had raised it, the staff would have been happy to help. Overall, Premier Inn Spitfire is a great place to stay, offering excellent value for money. I’d definitely return—perhaps with a request for a top-floor room next time!

Booked here because it did say it was next to a Brewers Fayre. The Brewers Fayre has been replaced by a Premier Pub. It does not open until after 5pm and offers a cut down menu very similar to a Thyme Restaurant. It meant extra travel to eat early and get my paperwork completed. A huge amount of roadwork taking place directly connected to the hotel the main roundabout was completely dug up with road closures, etc. It comes with the territory of working away, but if I had known, I would have had a re think. Staff at the Premier Inn were great. It is not their fault there is movement within a corporation rethink.

**2023 Update... This hotel is now one of the Plugged Inn with Genie Point Electric car charging on site There is one charger with rapid/type 2 connectors and two charging bays. Rooms are not air conditioned but have opening windows and fans to keep room cool. We had breakfast at the adjacent restaurant which was mediocre, with a broken Coffee machine and no orange juice. Service was friendly and helpful though. There is a brand new drive thru Starbucks adjacent with a rapid electric car charging hub supplied by IONITY. Good budget hotel, clean and comfortable just off the M6 at jn 14 Creswell

I arrived at the Spitfire in Stafford and was checked into room 7.| The toilet seat was broken and unknown to me it slid off the toilet and I nearly ended up on the floor....not a good start to a stay||I did complian to the girl and she said that she might be able to move me to another room...this was awkward as I've just unpacked everything. ||The room was on the ground floor and very stuffy..I opened the window as much as I could however it was so noisy and added to the stuffy room it didn't make for a good night sleep.||I had an email stating that your restaurant was shut...this made another problem as on Friday night everything near by was fully booked and I couldn't eat.|I tried to get a cab into town but there were none available at that time ||I was told that there would be a complimentary continental breakfast supplied for the inconvenience.||I went to reception the next morning to be told by a tired and miserable checkout girl that they had no delivery and therefor no breakfast. ||This added to the disappointment of my stay.||The following night was much the same however I did get some good food early at the Chinese buffet opposite. ||The breakfast in the reception was there on Sunday but I chose to leave this as it was an insult to my intelligence. |Dried up croissant in a plastic bag...cheap orange juice and a banana. ||Complimentary but at what cost.||The WiFi was non existent unless you pay for the premium package at a fiver a day||This has been one of my worst stays anywhere ever and I've had to stop in some poor hotels over the years.||Not impressed at all with...

Very disappointing here. There was a queue through the door when we arrived and the reception desk was unmanned. The couple at the front said that they had been waiting for 20 minutes for someone to show up, and had even tried telephoning the hotel with no response. When 2 ladies arrived together to work, they issued that poor couple with a keycard that didn't work. The chap was NOT a happy bunny. We finally got in to room 218. Turned out that it was overlooking a very busy road, and we did not have a good night's rest at all because of the noise (despite double glazing). Breakfast at 0900 on the Sunday and guess what? Another queue. There was one poor lad who was running around on his own trying to clear dirty tables, book people in and manage just about everything. Obviously understaffed. No porridge out - despite being on the menu. Some hot food trays were on last scraping at the time of entry (although they were topped up at 0920). Premier Inns are usually pretty good, but...
