Firstly , how wonderful to have a bakery as so rare these days and on a housing estate promenade of shops . I try to come here whenever I visit Stafford to support local business, especially a bakery. In food , you've to sell a lot to make anywhere near survival let alone profits.
The traditional pasties are great, proper meat and filling and not salty or peppery either just rightly seasoned. Fresh, well done short crust pasties. Their best product by far.
Rather disappointing to see wholesaler frozen pasties for the flakey/ puff pastry pasties that any Saturday hand at Greg's could throw in the oven, however. A skilled baker in residence and using wholsaler stuff!
Flap jacks perfect, cooked properly and non of the undercooked squigginess so prevalent these days. Ideal for a winters pudding with custard on.
A nice variety of bread, fresh and wholesome though sometimes a bit over prooved. But generally very good.
Lovely serving staff be it the mature woman during the week or fresh faced weekend Saturday job staff.
Prices appropriate.
Parking easily.
