Sad to say what an expensive disapointment 😔 Went for a meal tonight & at almost £16 per head we found the menu quite poor compared to other buffet restaurants..
Most of the main meal dishes looked Anemic & boiled...no colour at all... not very appertizing...very bland food with no flavour... Only 1 main king prawn dish which contained pineapple (yuck) looked like watery milk 🤮....but we was scrapping the bottom of the pan for this dish...just to pick out a few prawns.. There is No king prawn chow mein served here & the chow mein that was available...again 1 scoop left in the pan? Our friends said the char sui pork was tough as old dog...or was it dog? 🤔 Who knows with these places! thats why we just eat prawns but like i said there were none? The place needs a good clean up or re-furb & brought up do date...the tables & back of the chairs were sticky on the wood & the seats were stained....
As soon as we put our forks down the plates were wipped off the table....we were still chewing the flippin food!! Bit to eager in our opinion...
We wouldnt return here untill the menu improved & the place has a good clean...would not recommend either, not at those prices for whats on offer... no were near as good as bon pan or other buffet restaurants in the area...
Total...
Read moreGood selection of food but of lower standard than take away Chinese. The desserts are all cheap and from frozen aside from fresh fruit and (if youre lucky) fresh waffles. The desserts are not bad, manly chocolate fountain, some cakes, jellies and whippy style ice-cream - just don't expect to be wowed by the taste. Aside from water all drinks are separate and are quite expensive (£3.80 for a single rum and pepsi, which did not taste nice). I was quite disappointed that prices went up - £13.50 for myself and my 12 year old each for evening meal but still said £12.95 on website, that was quite expensive for basic quality food. What made experience unpleasant is the young girl serving us as she was rude (kept pushing past without even saying sorry and had unpleasant attitude when speaking to us), I was also given Scottish £10 for change which I refused. I heard it's illegal to do that...
But there were a couple of positive things too. Two male staff were very warm and welcoming and they also provided my son with birthday cake for free and dress the table with balloons before we arrived as well as take a photo for us to take home and a gift key ring for...
Read moreReliable buffet with decent range of different dishes. We go two or three times a year. Stand of food is generally good, and they try to change the dishes every six months or so and experiment with more unusual meals, so you don't have to stick to exactly the same menu as all buffets tend to serve. Special this time was sausage in black pepper: odd, but nice. Their version of tandoori chicken was more interesting. Also do the full range of everything you'd expect: sweetcorn soups, sweet n sour, black bean, crispy duck, lemon chicken, satay sticks, spring rolls, etc, plus some 'English' dishes including chips and even hash browns. Extensive range of desserts, including some hot ones (banana fritter, etc), although those tend to appear suddenly and get snaffled very quick so you have to keep an eye open for them. On the downside, it can get very busy at weekends. Huge queues when there's an event at Stafford showground and the nearby lodges are full. Can be a struggle to get the food you prefer on those nights, and booking a table is...
