Food 100% home cooked which was a refreshing change. It was Reasonably priced alcohol wise although if you go for a pint of Hop house 13 it's a bit pricey at £4.60 which you'd expect to pay in the town centre not in a reinvented working men's pub situated in a residential area. Food is mainly based on pub classics and not too badly priced either. Went in for a quiet game of pool, and quiet it was. Midweek afternoon between Christmas and new year. The pool was free as was the jukebox. Had a pint of doom bar which was very well kept, my partner had a Carling and her son a coors which also was very good ( even though that's only lager :) ) PUBS NEED CUSTOMERS OR THEY ARE GONE AND MORE HOUSES WILL BE BUILT ON THE LAND. Popped in for a quick bite after a shopping trip in town and was not disappointed . Freshly cooked food at very reasonable prices. Polite And attentive service food was tasty and sure hit the spot. The bright and clean dinning room was quiet but it was a mid week afternoon and for an estate pub with the bar separate from the dinning area it is understandable....
