Newgate Apartments — Hotel in Stoke-on-Trent

Absolute shambles. Arrived at the property to a complete electricy blackout. Kept being told to switch on “breakers” … in the end it was a spotlight leaking heavy water on the floor it stank so bad of damp and cr*p. Health and saftey definitely out the window. Not suitable for kids sounds like a war zone constantly banging and talking from all sides. Felt like i was in a zoo, this aint the end of it … ontop when we arrived the hygienic issues were over the roof! Peoples hair and nail clippings still on the beds! Ergh disgusting! Im not sure who wrote these past reviews but definitely wouldnt even give it a 1 star if i had a choice.

Id avoid at all costs. Ontop they charged me over £100 for staying for 8 hours due to me cancellation … dont bother book for travelodge its better save your...

Would not recommend this place as it was dirty and service wasn’t great. The sofa had stains on it, shower was mouldy, dishes and cutlery were unclean, dining furniture was unstable and wobbly, there were hairs on the blanket from previous residents, the iron board cover also had a stain. Pictures shown online were not accurate to what I stayed in. The bathroom was also very small as well as having a stiff lock. There also weren’t enough towels for my family upon arrival. For a family of 6, Newgate Apartments met every angle of our need. Location is perfect..shops close by..burger shop right beside us. It's a home away from home..has a cooker, washing machine, beds, for everyone...a dishwasher...what more could you ask for? We couldn't connect to the free Wi-fi...it didn't matter...because Netflix was on....Will definitely book again soon. It's the perfect place if you are visiting Stoke on...
