London Road Oatcakes — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

Credit where it's due. I'm a Stokie expat of several decades, but still return frequently to visit family. Breakfast from this Oatcake shop is usually one of the highlights of any trip back to Stoke. Last visit, the oatcakes were cooked to absolute perfection; crispy on the outside, with quality cheese and bacon inside. Service was warm, friendly and efficient. It's not always easy to convince non-local friends and relatives that the humble Oatcake is truly manna from heaven - but this shop would be the best place to start. Rocked up at 8AM on a Wednesday (3rd July 24), the place was closed.

Please update your opening hours or be open when you say you are.

UPDATE. As for the owners response, try updating the google entry for your shop (that is going to be the typical item found by most, not social media), if you are going to be closed for a period of time.

Been go here for years no complaints but Saturday I had 2 oatcakes with sausage egg on ,the egg was horrible it was over cooked like hard boiled yellow oak on it the white bit burnt too ! The egg should be yellow oak cooked but bit juicy too , if I would of picked my own order up I would off told them ! Do them again ! But someone picked mine up for me ! But staff always been nice. I put them in the bin just ate the oatcake...
