Miso is a great place to eat. We had a starter, main and a sharer. Which was more than enough to fill us up.
For starter we had the miso soup which was full of flavour and was just the right amount to set us up for mains.
I had the pork ramen while my partner had chicken gyoza ramen for main. The pork was melt in the mouth and there was plenty of it too. The broth and noodles were amazing and honestly, the amount you got was crazy. Really filled me up.
The chicken gyoza was good too, but there wasn't as much flavour in the chicken gyoza ramen compared to the pork, but still was filling according to my partner. We shared the crispy chicken sushi, there were 8 pieces in total and they were a really good size, you could easily share them amongst 4 people. They were a good flavour dynamic of rice, seaweed and chicken.
The server was brilliant and really polite, giving us time to order and answering any questions we had. If I had to give a negative, i would say the size of the restaurant was very quaint. Possibly they are doing a refit. As everything is up stairs, hidden away. But we were able to get a table still and that point did not knock our overall experience.
So overall, it's a brilliant menu, with really tasty and filling food and the staff are excellent. If you have been wanting to try japanese food. Go here.

Read moreWe had the Ramen Bowls at this venue. I had the grilled chicken teriyaki and my partner had the veggie gyoza.
First thing to say is both the ramen bowls were big and bigger than Wagamama bowls! The portions you get here are bigger than Wagamama portions!
My grilled chicken was a generous portion and bigger than what you get at Wagamama. However, the meat was not as luscious and tender as the chicken you get at Wagamama.
My partner said she liked the veggie gyoza and all the other vegetables and noodles in her bowl . I also liked all the vegetables and noodles in my bowl and I also enjoyed the tea-stained egg!
We both agreed that the broth in both bowls was NOT sufficiently full of flavour and we had to add extras like chilli pepper and soy sauce to boost the flavour!! If anything the chicken broth at this venue was better than the veggie broth. The broth you get at Wagamama is better in terms of flavour and you also get pak choi in your bowl at Wagamama but not here.
To sum up, the portions in the ramen bowls here are large, but we prefer quality over quantity. Our rating for this restaurant is Good but NOT Excellent. Compared with Wagamama, prices here are about the same. On balance we prefer the Ramen Bowls...
Read moreI attended an evening of fun food and laughter here on 12 Nov organised by the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, Mrs Lilian Dodd and her marvelous band of helpers as a fund raiser for the Lord Mayors charities. It was my first time ever in a Japanese restaurant in the UK and it won't be the last, I understand it's the only one in Stoke-on-Trent, and boy are we fortunate, we enjoyed a wonderful array of starters and main courses I myself enjoyed everything served up, eager to taste and try every different delecacy cooked and served to perfection and it was delicious. My main course of teriyaki pork was magnificent, tasty, tender, and served with an amazing variety of accompaniments, "check out my pics", my thanks go to the owner and head chef Ray and all his friendly accommodating staff for producing and serving up such a banquet for so many of us without any problems. In such a small intimate restaurant I was delighted to find they have a full size fitted disabled toilet / baby changing room and portable request ramp to help with wheelchair / pushchair to help access over the one step entrance should you you need it. Thank you...
