Golden Bay Holiday Village — Hotel in Torridge District

My family organised a holiday to Golden Bay holiday village for my 60th Birthday, Myself and my husband had stayed at the chalets before over the years which was lovely, so it was such a great surprise to stay in one of the Bungalows on the beachfront. The bungalow accommodated four of us so comfortably. We stayed At the Lundy Bungalow, right on the beachfront overlooking the rock pool. The accommodation was gorgeous, to walk in and see the beautiful view of Westward Ho Bay from the large windows was fabulous. The lodge, has three lovely bedrooms all ensuite, spotlessy clean, modern and fresh with comfortable beds. Everything you needed was there, including a dish washer and washing machine . The lounge, diner and kitchen were to such a high standard, beautifully decorated as well. It was lovely and warm too. To sit at the table or sofas and look out at the view was amazing and so relaxing. We had our own large private balcony, not overlooked either. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is so much to do and see around Westward Ho, Lots of places to eat, mini supermarkets and independent shops. Surfing , amusements, etc. lots for familes to do. A beautiful seafront promenade. which is easliy accessible from Golden Bay holiday village. Beautiful Appledore a short drive away and easy access to visit many lovely places in...

We are just back from our second visit to Westward Ho! But first at Golden Bay Holiday park. We were staying in Lighthouse View 8. The whole experience from booking till we departed has been seamless. Lots of correspondence and information just before our arrival. We arrived before the 4pm check in and left our car, and were then contacted to say we could gain access as the accommodation was ready ahead of time. We were delighted with scones jam and cream and milk and few basics to get us started, very much appreciated.|The accommodation was spotless. A really lovely 2 level property with en-suite with master bedroom. Wonderful views of Westward Ho! Sea xx parking right outside. The location is excellent if you like surfing, we had outside tap and outside area to wash and dry wetsuits and surf boards. Also a washer dryer should you wish to do any washing (I didn’t) and also highlights a coffee machine! And dishwasher with tablets provided. |Lots of information within the booklet left, and internet WiFi access. |We will definitely be back xxx thank you to all at Golden view...

Stayed in the newly built 3 bed house, very nice indeed, with good sea views and only 5 minutes walk to the beach/sea for some really good surfing or when the tide is out a beautiful sandy beach to enjoy. No dogs are allowed on the beach and the beach is patrolled by the RNLI during the day. The house we staying in was brilliant, clean bright and has the use of all the mod cons you need, but with so much to do around you we just used it as a base, you can hire surfboards and wet suite's in the center of Westwood ho with some great bars and restaurants close by. Bedrooms are in our place were 2 doubles and 1 double single room with one double being upstairs, on the same floor as the kitchen and sitting room with a balcony that has 4 chairs in it to enjoy those views of the beach/sea, the other two bedrooms are on the ground floor with a large bathroom in-between, then a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a private carpark for you to use also.
