We visited whilst in the area on holiday. There was tables available on our arrival, however; if its busy the owner will take your number and call you as soon as one becomes vacant, which is a brilliant idea. The staff were all friendly and offered top service. The food was delicious and was served in a very good time frame. I had the traditional cream tea with scones, these were beautiful and warm, fresh and full of raisins. My husband had the cheese and bacon on toast. This was a huge portion with chunky bread, large rashers of bacon, tasty cheese on a large bed of fresh salad. Cute little cafe with sweet decor. Clean and inviting with disabled access, parking in a public car park nearby and a cake selection to die for. 😍

We visited on Sunday morning after a long walk from home with our daughter & dog. We’ve not visited for years & it was lovely to sit in the sun & enjoy the view. Having recently gone plant based I was over the moon to see a dedicated plant based menu. We went inside to look at the vast choice of cakes & I was disappointed only 1 was Vegan. The carrot cake was delicious but I was hoping for more choice. So many things can easily be made plant based these days & at little to no extra cost.. fudge brownie, cookies & even muffins & sponges. I know we’re a minority but we’re growing in numbers so if you can cater for us we’ll shout it from the rooftops & be your most loyal customers. Next time I’m trying your Vegan scone!

We have visited a few times; every time we come to Devon and are never disappointed. The cakes taste like cakes should! It was the highlight of my holiday! The only annoyance, was that from the street it isn't clear whether it's table service or whether you have to wait to get a table or if you grab a free table. Some people left and we got their table, but then I overheard a waitress say that there was a queue and that phone numbers were being taken and you'd be called when a table was available. This was not clear at all. Also, how could they actually enforce this if people don't know and it's easy for new customers to grab an empty table. Silly system. Lovely cafe and cakes though. Exactly what I want in a cafe!

Took my two daughters here for a holiday lunch treat. The food was perfect, really yummy. The hot chcolate were the best as far as my youngest daughter was concerned she had a unicorn one! What 9 year old girl doesn't want a unicorn hot chocolate! Lol. Although my 17 year old daughter joined in as well have a deluxe milk shake they were both amazing. The food and drinks were spectacular, and as for the service the staff couldn't have been more helpful, polite or friendly. First class for food and service. The food or drinks aren't over priced , they are in tally with anywhere else you would go for coffee and cake. The portion size we though were lovely sizes, and lovely presentation too. They have a lovely outside eating area if it's sunny. Inside is small but its lovely , cosy, and has a really welcoming feeling to it. As I said it is small so if it's a place that you really want to go to for lunch or coffee and cake then I would recommend phoning and booking a table as the will reserve one for you in advance. They also do a high tea package for either a birthday, baby shower or get together which looks amazing for £12 per person. We are local to he area so we will definitely be going back again, no question at all. A perfect little coffee shop with lovely yummy food and what makes it all the more appealing is the wonderful staff that coundly be faulted. Well done tea on the green, you you have done a brilliant job, and I hope your business goes from strength...

AMAZING! the best hot chocolate my teen daughter says she has ever had - she chose orange choc flavour and it was piled high with cream, maltesers and marshmallows too. But then the scones arrived - we had both cheese savoury and fruit - wow - huge - and delicious! the onion chutney with the cheese scone (along with soft cream cheese) was really lovely too, local and I wish I could have bought a jar to take away! The scone, clotted cream (cream first, this is Devon!) all plentiful and delicious too. Husband also really enjoyed the crumpets medley. Teens really enjoyed their panini with lots of filling choices, all accompanied with really good side salad and crisps. This place is my favourite treat when I am in the area - always worth hovering around to wait for a table (and we have always had to wait on our 3-4 visits). Also remember it is closed on Monday and Tuesday, which saddened me on our last day Monday when I thought I could sneak one last delicious cream tea in before we...

Cute little spot, on the green facing the sea. We sat outside and watched the world go by. The menu selection was good with savory & sweet options for food. Our tea, coffee & hot chocolate were wonderful (the hot chocolate for children was a desert in itself coming with a flake, marshmallows, sprinkles & piled high with whipped cream). We did also order the waffle & ice cream, we love the ice cream but felt the waffle was a little over sweet for our tastes. There was a good selection of cakes and I hate that I picked one which was inedible for me. The potion was a good size but, even though I have a sweet tooth, the cookie finger cake was too sickly sweetI so I only managed a few small bites before leaving the rest (which is unheard of for me with desert). Wish I had picked a...
