Took my two daughters here for a holiday lunch treat. The food was perfect, really yummy. The hot chcolate were the best as far as my youngest daughter was concerned she had a unicorn one! What 9 year old girl doesn't want a unicorn hot chocolate! Lol. Although my 17 year old daughter joined in as well have a deluxe milk shake they were both amazing. The food and drinks were spectacular, and as for the service the staff couldn't have been more helpful, polite or friendly. First class for food and service. The food or drinks aren't over priced , they are in tally with anywhere else you would go for coffee and cake. The portion size we though were lovely sizes, and lovely presentation too. They have a lovely outside eating area if it's sunny. Inside is small but its lovely , cosy, and has a really welcoming feeling to it. As I said it is small so if it's a place that you really want to go to for lunch or coffee and cake then I would recommend phoning and booking a table as the will reserve one for you in advance. They also do a high tea package for either a birthday, baby shower or get together which looks amazing for £12 per person. We are local to he area so we will definitely be going back again, no question at all. A perfect little coffee shop with lovely yummy food and what makes it all the more appealing is the wonderful staff that coundly be faulted. Well done tea on the green, you you have done a brilliant job, and I hope your business goes from strength...
Read moreAMAZING! the best hot chocolate my teen daughter says she has ever had - she chose orange choc flavour and it was piled high with cream, maltesers and marshmallows too. But then the scones arrived - we had both cheese savoury and fruit - wow - huge - and delicious! the onion chutney with the cheese scone (along with soft cream cheese) was really lovely too, local and I wish I could have bought a jar to take away! The scone, clotted cream (cream first, this is Devon!) all plentiful and delicious too. Husband also really enjoyed the crumpets medley. Teens really enjoyed their panini with lots of filling choices, all accompanied with really good side salad and crisps. This place is my favourite treat when I am in the area - always worth hovering around to wait for a table (and we have always had to wait on our 3-4 visits). Also remember it is closed on Monday and Tuesday, which saddened me on our last day Monday when I thought I could sneak one last delicious cream tea in before we...
Read moreCute little spot, on the green facing the sea. We sat outside and watched the world go by. The menu selection was good with savory & sweet options for food. Our tea, coffee & hot chocolate were wonderful (the hot chocolate for children was a desert in itself coming with a flake, marshmallows, sprinkles & piled high with whipped cream). We did also order the waffle & ice cream, we love the ice cream but felt the waffle was a little over sweet for our tastes. There was a good selection of cakes and I hate that I picked one which was inedible for me. The potion was a good size but, even though I have a sweet tooth, the cookie finger cake was too sickly sweetI so I only managed a few small bites before leaving the rest (which is unheard of for me with desert). Wish I had picked a...
